The Cubs added rookie left-hander Rob Zastryzny as a 12th pitcher to their National League Championship Series roster submitted Saturday morning.
The addition of Zastryzny was made in response to this best-of-seven series and that the Los Angeles Dodgers' roster is loaded with left-handed batters. Zastryzny threw 3 2/3 scoreless innings at Dodger Stadium on Aug. 27.
The Dodgers batted .213 against lefties, .264 against right-handers.
The Cubs have four left-handed relievers on their roster - Travis Wood, Mike Montgomery, Aroldis Chapman and Zastryzny.
