That’s the proof of concept. Shared by colleagues in Cape Town. We were not so fortunate in Gauteng; most patients had just been vaccinated. Vaccinated Healthcare workers in Gauteng had fewer breakthrough infections, and mostly were mild infections.

We now have experience with 3 waves. We can see what vaccines have done to prevent infections, hospitalization and death rate. Even if you look at countries with high vaccination rates, the impact of vaccines is obvious.

Doc I maintain that in Gauteng most people who got Covid were incubating it before they took the vaccine without knowing. I cant prove it though but from the numbers who tested positive a few days after vaccine that is my logical conclusion.

I agree with you. We saw a lot of patients presenting soon after being vaccinated. This means either incubation or infection around the same time as they got the jab.

If you don’t mind me asking, got very bad sinuses due to the changing season. Should i wait for them to clear or its okay to get vaccinated? Thank you

Had the same which made me hesitant too. I followed strict Covid and level 5 protocol leading up to and after the jab, and apart from fatigue and sore muscles post jab, all good. Please continue to stick to strict protocol after the jab.

For the purposes of the graphic perhaps "vaccinated" means 2 weeks after 2nd dose for Pfizer?
2 weeks after the J&J shot?

Just noticed, Discovery Health defines vaccinated as:
30 days after 2nd dose for Pfizer.
30 days after the J&J shot.

Good spot.
Original image was from Sanford, and was used to create this version (a little clumsily) by a doc at the hospital. The data is legit, as verified by several other doctors at groote schuur (some of whom I'm lucky enough to know personally

Could people have dropped masks etc too soon after vaccinating Doc? If they were incubating the virus while vaccinating shouldn’t there have been more adverse vaccination events because vaccinating while having the virus is not recommended ?

Internationallyl we seeing countries that have before SA with fully vaccinated citizens, like Israel have an increase in infections. SA is not there yet but give it 3months all those vaccinated , well see your stats again.

The data is correct. This information was shared by senior colleagues from Cape Town. The graph was used as an illustration(it could have been referenced, but this is not an academic publication). All hospitals keep clinical data; usually not shared with the public.

It is not uncommon for the circumcised, using anecdotals as science, to not only claim superior health & virility, but also insult the uncircumcised
It is impossible to measure the influence of one aspect in an entity that has 6 moving parts without holding the other 5 CONSTANT

If the PCR tests provide so many false positives (we know they don't), why is it that excess deaths the world over all peak so conveniently in synch with increases in positive tests? You might be able to falsely label ICU and hospitalizations as "covid" when they aren't - but /2
