To all those questioning TI regarding the celebration, point your canon at BJP. TI is not responsible for when and why of politics. Personally I think we should celebrate our kings regardless of which section of caste or creed they belongs to.

You have and so TI has got it all wrong. We are not opposing the celebration of King. We are opposing celebration of a king whose identity is being wrongly and "Specifically" presented instead of Hindu or Kshatriya. Imagine if "Dalit rishi Valmiki" statue is inaugurated.

In Punjab there are large statues of Dalit Rishi Valmiki. An entire Balmiki Dalit community considers itself descendants of Valmiki. You don't see Brahmins agitating in public. If that belief keeps them within Hindu fold, why not? PS: I am not saying that your protest is wrong
