Isn't that because nearly all old people vaccinated and it's mainly them who are susceptible anyway? Perhaps we might get a clearer picture if you recalculated the figures assuming no-one was vaccinated?

True, but first it was "the 'vaccines' work", then... well, you can still get infected... then... you can still infect others...then... you could still die from it but smaller chance... then... well, it's only in the old that it doesn't work...

"Vaccine is no longer effective" may not be correct. Original vaccine clinical studies showed some vac people got very sick; some deaths too, although lower than unvac. If 90% of Israel is vaccinated, one would expect to see most of the severe cases/deaths to be from vac.

The original studies showed over 95% efficacy in preventing severe Covid symptoms. J&J ~70%. It wasn’t a little less than unvaxxed, it was a huge amount less. So no, this isn’t what we should expect. We should expect very few hospitalizations and deaths, the more vaxxed.

US news coverage is so different. Despite acknowledging that it may be less effective (blaming a new variant) they are still pushing a narrative that it’s over 90% effective in preventing serious illness

Israel's data isn't *too* surprising if the info provided here is true. 90% of Israelis over the age of 60 are vaccinated - individuals over the age of 60 are most likely to need hospital treatment. Additionally, over 60% of the population at large is vaccinated.

Is it anti vax to show the truth yet? This story will be repeated anywhere that that used the Pfizer shot. How is a vaccine that needs a booster after 4 months called effective? Will be interesting to see if Moderna and AstraZeneca produce diff results.
