Saving the game

Do I have to build a camp anytime I want to save the game? I didn't see an option when at the lodge. Am I missing something, how do I save? I've done it at least once, guess I stumbled upon it, but now clueless.

I think a camp is the only way to manual save. But, it should autosave when you change maps etc. I think. I can't be positive on this as I am still learning with the game. But I think I noticed that's how the autosave is working.

Change maps? How is that done? Isn't this launch just the one map?

I did figure out it is saved at camp. I upgraded my camp some so it will last longer, but now can't find leaves for improvised tinder...ugh, they were everywhere when I first started.

The game autosaves when you travel to a different map using the RV. You can save at camps, outposts and using the sleeping bag

I don't think that I have any outposts yet, definitely no sleeping bag. I apparently didn't save my game after last time where I completes first 3 missions, and had to start over from when I first build the initial camp. I'll be doing the first hunt mission over again next.

I just got the game yesterday (played it for the first time last night) and I've been wondering what the weight system is. Surely it can't be pounds (lbs) or kil9s (kg), because 6.2 pounds or kilos for 2 pieces of meat from a fox is a bit much. Like does it have itself own weight system like syrim, or does it use real world weight systems? I have seen a little gameplay of it from a friend, but I nothing was said about the weight system from what I remember.

Thank y'all, I appreciate any help given on this.
