Nine Forwards to Watch This Season

2022 Summer Srodulski, 6’1” Forward, Prospect A highly skilled Forward who can stretch the floor with her passing and shooting abilities, Srodulski is a tremendous asset on both ends of the court. She is a tough athlete who plays with a ton of effort and uses her strength to finish through contact at the basket. Defensively, Summer can defend on the perimeter in addition to the low block and is a constant shot-blocking threat in the lane. 2022 , 5’11” Forward, Clinton Cyrulik is an athletic Forward who makes a big impact in the lane but can also contribute on the perimeter. She moves well without the ball to get herself open and uses her length to score over defenders at the basket. Mallory is excellent in the transition game and protects the rim well with her ability to block or alter shots. 2023 , 6’4” Forward, Carmel Catholic The 2nd Ranked Player in Illinois’ Class of 2023, Wood is a dynamic Forward who provides great versatility with her ability to play multiple positions at a high level. She is a great athlete with good length to attack the lane and score over defenders near the basket. Jordan is a reliable ball-handler and shooter and is an outstanding defender with her post defense and shot blocking skills. 2022 , 6’2” Forward, Conant Ytsen is a talented stretch-Forward with an impressive shot from beyond the three-point line that finds the bottom of the net on a regular basis. Emily is a high-IQ player who sees the floor and passes the ball well and uses her strength and good footwork to create good looks at the basket on the low block. 2022 Megan Duzansky, 5’10” Forward, Providence Catholic A mobile post who creates shots for herself off-the-dribble, Duzanksy possesses a ton of skill with the ball in her hands. She has outstanding footwork in the lane and consistently makes good decisions based off what the defense gives her. Megan can knock down shots from deep and the mid-range and is a sound rebounder on both ends of the floor. 2024 Lilly Boor, 5’10” Forward, Downers Grove North Boor is a talented underclassmen Small Forward who stretches the floor with her ability to make shots from beyond the three-point line. She is strong and skilled on the low block and finishes around and through contact consistently. Lilly is a great two-way player with the capacity to defend multiple positions and willingly rebound on both ends. 2022 , 6’0” Forward, Brimfield A lengthy and athletic Forward who shows great skill in her role, Lune dominates in the lane with her slashing and finishing capability at the basket. The Eastern Illinois commit is a prolific inside scorer and excels in the transition game with her ability to run the floor and make quick decisions. Ella is a versatile defender with her athleticism and rebounds the ball at a high rate on both ends of the court. 2022 , 6’0” Forward, Naperville North Crossett is a strong and skilled Forward who stretches the floor with her ball-handling and shooting abilities. She consistently attacks from the wing under control and finds creative ways to finish around the basket. Sarah is a high IQ player with an impressive back to the basket game, which includes solid footwork and an array of post moves to create open looks for herself. 2023 , 6’4” Forward, Sycamore   A talented inside Post Player who keeps getting better and better, Carrier has emerged as one of the premier Post Players in the Class of 2023. Her constant effort leads to large rebound totals and extra opportunities on offense, while her length and sound footwork on defense make things difficult for the opposition. Evyn has a terrific collection of post moves and great touch on the low block to score over most defenders.
