Someone added this info about "Japanese Wikipedia" on English Wikipedia. I won't be surprised if a netouyo (Japanese far-right nationalist) Wikipedian tries to delete this edit soon. They've been trying to distort articles on English Wikipedia for some time.

The Comfort Women system was built on the same violence (#CRSV) it purported to prevent. It was rape but without the eyes of the world upon it, to deflect scrutiny after Nanking. Soldiers had no incentive to stop raping locals when it was already legitimized by the military.

So if that doesn’t work, the next thing you will say is that Mun bought a diamond in Rangoon. This is actually true. She had received tips from soldiers and used them to buy a diamond on one of the only occasions she was permitted out of her brothel.

Now, probably the next thing you’re going to say is that she was paid, and there’s a passbook with her savings. That doesn’t work because she never received that money - she died while trying to get it back. Japan refused to pay it back.

So when the women got to the brothel and found out they were supposed to be “comfort women,” they were shocked. Some didn’t even know what sex *was.* Did the Japanese military apologize for their deception and return them to Korea on the next military transport? No. Of course not

Yes. So the Japanese military transported her and fellow comfort women in the hold of the ship. Then the officers told them where they were assigned and they were loaded onto military trucks. So the recruiter was Korean but logistics and transport was the Japanese military.
