Looking more and more like we would have been done with the ro by now if we didn't have vaccines. BAN ME FOR SAYING IT, I dare you. We can present the evidence and let a jury decide if it's "misinformation" or whether you're systematically defaming my work as a reporter...

1/ Wow. New Israeli preprint shows natural immunity to #SARSCoV2 is FAR superior to the artificial kind - vaccinated people were 13x as likely to be infected and 27x to have symptomatic infections as a matched cohort that was previously infected. And this is with Delta dominant.

Though the fact that you suspended me last month for saying that the vaccines were failing in Israel - a statement that essentially IS NOW TRENDING - may not help your case.

I feel sorry for you guys. Here in Poland, we don't have this Twitter feature yet, but I see many are trying to abuse it just to shut some people up, without any proof that is misleading. Here is an e.g.

I don't think we would be done if we didn't have vaccines because the lockdowns and social distancing would prevent heavy community spread. If everything was completely open and virus can spread well, that would have been the end.

So natural infection providing superior immunity doesn't make vaccines worthless. They didn't compare the vaccinated to the unvaccinated without previous infection. This says don't waste vaccines on the previously infected. Good news but not the message you share.

If natural immunity was as powerful as this paper claims (i really hope it is), then you should have near heard immunity in the US where infection ran rampant all summer long a year ago. So why hasn't that happened? do we need this wave to bring in level to heard immunity?

You’re right, but w/o vaccines & any sort of meaningful mitigation effort,COVID infections would skyrocket, & a consistently small % of the infected would continue to die. Good news, COVID would be “done”. Bad news,an estimated 15-25 million dead in 2 yrs. I’m still on team vax.

I don't doubt that natural immunity is superior to vax immunity but I don't see how this means vaccines have extended the pandemic. If someone gets infected after getting the vax, doesn't it stand to reason that vax + natural immunity is at least as powerful as natural alone?

1/Efficacy of natural antibodies against covid supposedly lasts up to 11 months But our bodies still have a memory(blueprint)of how to make those antibodies which are likely to be present in the bone marrow for several decades...
