Halverson named Bennett County School Superintendent

Current Bennett County High School Principal Stacy Halverson has been named the new Bennett County School District Superintendent, replacing the retiring Wayne Semmler.

The school board interviewed five candidates last week and offered the job to Halverson on Friday, and she accepted the terms offered.

Halverson has been a principal at Bennett County for six years, the first four at the Martin Grade School and the last two at Bennett County High School.

Prior to that, she was at the Winner School District as an administrator for one year and was a teacher for 16 years. She also coached high school volleyball, and middle school volleyball, basketball and track.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the real good process we set in place for our students here at Bennett County,” said Halverson. “I’m also excited to continue to be a part of the community. I appreciate the boards support and look forward  to working as the new superintendent.”
