Like all Monster Hunter games, Monster Hunter Stories 2 is pretty epic. Needless to say, you’ll be wanting to save your game from time to time.

Like most games these these days, you’ll be glad to hear that Monster Hunter Stories 2 features an autosave system that periodically saves your progress for you. That being said, it can be hard to know when your game was last saved, so you might also want to make use of the game’s manual saving system from time to time.

To manually save your game in Monster Hunter Stories 2, you need to either visit your house and interact with the bed, or visit a Catavan Stand out in the world. When manually saving you’ll find that there are three save slots available, allowing you to make multiple saves in case you want to go back at any point.

Of course, thanks to the Nintendo Switch’s sleep mode, those playing on that format won’t really need to totally close down Monster Hunter Stories 2 all that often. It’s still a good idea to make a manual save every once in a while, however, just in case. And those playing on PC will probably want to make a manual save every time before they quit the game, unless they’re confident that the autosave system has just recorder their progress.
