I don't think I've played an open world game that didn't autosave. Anyone played one where you had to remember to save?

It's not that they never auto-save. Just very rare or irregular ones. HZD had a pretty bad auto-save system. If you didn't make a point of stopping off at every save point you could find yourself half an hour or more back

Nier replicant and nier automata don't have autosave. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer it that way. In games that have both autosave and manual save, I still do it manually just in case lol

Days Gone would autosave during main missions but otherwise you needed to be next to your bike (without enemies around) and press triangle to autosave.

Bethesda games also have a lot of manual saves but that might autosave as well, I forgot.

Skyrim sometimes has weird saving points, which could put you really far back

Gothic Games, no auto save.

All Bethesda games? They only auto save if you enter a space meaning you could walk for like an hour in the open world and die and go back an hour. I’d assume it’s their games he’s referring to

Every game should let you save whenever and wherever you want

I disagree. Some games have save slots for a reason, other's have specific ways of saving that makes sense for the game. I know people dislike not having the common save system. Let's look at Kingdom Come: Deliverance as an example. I remember playing that game and even though I usually am not a fan of punishing players by erasing a lot of their progress, KC:D made me actually fearful of death. On the other end look at Skyrim, there wasn't really a time I was scared of dying and even if I did I know I have many saves to fall back on.

Not saying Biomutant shouldn't have save slots just to clarify.

Nice! Sounds like save scumming might be possible too. Gotta get them good loot rolls from chests.

Sounds a bit like BOTW, which had 5 recent autosaves but you could also save manually. It might just be one autosave file in Biomutant though. It's good to have options.

I know there's multiple manual save slots and tbh you only need one auto-save.

Edit: Actually no whqt am I on about, having loads of auto-saves is great.

Played Jedi Fallen Order and forgot 5 hours in that the healing circles to save were a thing died and had to do over a lot of platforming and puzzles. More save options definitely helps.

Would we have the option to create multiple characters in this game?

There are multiple save slots so I guess so

All I want to know is scrounging the internet to see if your save file will have ex. 00.00 mins and hours to ps4 version. So I can pour in 65-100 or more into this game and see my total time saved after playing plus NG + . I’m on the verge of getting it ordered online and have fast shipping. Im just dying to know. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Hey folks. Bought the game at launch then chose to shelve it waiting for them to work out the bugs. Have the devs said anything about when the next gen update will come? I can't decide whether to start playing now or to hang on for the update and play it at full strength on PS5.

Is there a patch in the works in general? Is it even needed? How does the game play now?

Thanks all :)
