Is this game really not going to have any game save slots ?
Why would anyone want to do this? No games saves, just a reset to 0. This is bull$hit !

This is a 2018 game, isn't it ?
This game needs to have at least 5 save slots.
If and when achievements are added, we will (AGAIN !) lose all progress in this game if saves aren't enabled in this game.
I think that having saves would matter to most players.

I can't see a reason not to have (at the minimum) 3 save slots in this game.
When the achievements ( should I say if?) are added to this game, we will all wish there were saves enabled.
Is anybody looking forward to taking unmodded cars into online lobbies?

Now if you want to back up your save game files then go here:
C:\Program Files (x86)Steam\userdata\[YOUR UNIQUE USER ID]\228380\local
And make a copy of the \wreckfest folder. I got 4 copies now, I don't want to loose my lvl 40 rank and don't want have do career mode over. Almost done with trier 4.
Games corrupting their save files been a problem since at least the days of Flatout 1 back in 2005. Over the years I have seen many posts about lost\corrupted save files. So I have made it a habit to find where my popular racing games, that I don't want to risk losing the save files, have their save folder and back them up.
Good thing I did it with GRID 1. I went and wash my 3000 mile toughen up Jupiter and it became a very wimpy car that maybe only last a few laps in a GRID 1 derby figure race online.
Was able go back to an old save folder that still had my 3000 mile toughen up Jupiter. :))

Why do you think that?
Depending on how achievements are triggered it can happen that those wich would have been made get achieved retroactively without doing the stuff again.
But first you would have to buy the game to do that....^^ (assuming that you dont have a second steam account which owns the game)

My primary account is first in your quote. My secondary account is second. I bought this game in June 2015.
Tunngle no more, so GameRanger I think only way to race GRID 1 online now. Have not gone online with GRID 1 or 2 in few years now. Wreckfest keeping me pretty busy these days.
The reason I want saves (5 slots would do it) is simple.
There a various modes in this game.
Career
Then there is online:
Clean racing.
Banger racing.
Death match.
Last man standing.
Why would anyone want to have to manually save in any game?
To have to overwrite files in a modern game to use the vehicles you need for different modes in a game isn't a good thing.
To have those saves and name them appropriately would enhance gameplay for anyone that plays this game.
The ease of choosing a save and loading it and playing the mode selected would be a good thing.
I think that the solution to the problem is to have save slots in this game.
I tend to dedicate once I decide to get into a game.
Having 5 saves at level 50 wouldn't be that hard for me.
I have 2 account and both of my Wreckfest games are at level 50.
I dedicated in Grid 2,
I have 29 99 levels completed and have actives saves in both accounts. Grid 2 has 8 save slots. I saved all of my progression in Grid 2 in an external drive, also.
It just makes more sense to me to have saves , and it shouldn't be a big deal for the devs to implement saves in this game.

i would not be against it....but i neither would use a second (or more) save for such a game as i never had any need for that in a racing game.
And if i would ever feel the need to setup cars in here for different Races....i probably would choose a different car for them either way and not try to "tune" one and the same for different things.
Are you guys serious - no saves!! That's just insane. Need at least three save slots and save anytime between races. Or anytime except in the middle of a race.
Nah, I must be missing something here. I have 100s of games, and never heard of a game without saves. Is it true, really!?!
BTW, I am backing up the wreckfest folder after each session. Will this work as a save? Or am I wasting my time??

There are no saves unless you overwrite with your own saves.
It just makes no sense to me either.

WTF are the devs thinking? And I do really like the gameplay! But no saves. I'll be having nightmares tonite. Or abstract horror dreams of losing something but not knowing what it is, eternally searching.
Sorry for the sarcasm, but I am dumbfounded by this.
The game saves normally like any other game too...so you can shut the game down in between races etc.
It just does not have more then one existing save file....like a lot of other racing games out there too....
