4/ Some context: VAERS is updated weekly. In 2021, it has had a massive backlog, because it was not built to handle anything like the number of Covid vaccine reports it gets. But it has always appeared to prioritize death reports, which have risen fairly steadily at ~300 a week.

5/ We don’t know at this point why the number of death reports in the system doubled in a week. Probably the answer is not a new surge in deaths, but older deaths being added to the system. But given VAERS’s importance as a monitoring mechanism, CDC must explain quickly.

6/ Further, if the answer is NOT a surge in deaths, the bump is arguably WORSE for CDC, since it will raise questions about whether they have been misleading people about the overall safety profile of the vaccines for months. If deaths are this backlogged, how about other events?

They're adding over 2k deaths a week. Probably something to do with the lawsuit over the supposed 45k deaths on a separate reporting system.

And they play loose with the stats. The numerator is people (deaths), but the denominator is doses, yet 2 doses are required (unless J&J) so the percentage they publish, while still low, is understated by up to a factor of 2.

I’m hearing a lot of frail older people can’t beat the side effects of the vaccine, but it might be unlikely that they’re croaking at this time in the rollout. Maybe they updated it to include those deaths?

I question any CDC death data after two friends’ family members died during the pandemic of sources other than Covid but were coded as Covid deaths.

They clearly lie with this figure. Also as you can see they're counting each dose thus nearly halving the % as most actual PEOPLE took 2 doses. And now they want to add a BOOSTER to make the % of deaths even lower, never mind more eggs will be broken making this omelets.

It’s interesting they use the total number of doses to calculate the percentage of mortality (12,313/338M), rather than the estimate of individuals fully vaccinated (12,313/162M). That percentage should be 0.0076, not 0.0036.

Sincere questions: how does the 0.0036% mortality rate compare to other vaccines? Any way to adjust for population? More elderly people are getting the COVID vaccine than, say, MMR. Does that skew the mortality number?

It appears they’re confusing doses with people. Happens everywhere when taking about adverse events. Most in the USA have a 2-dose version, so it’s 12,313 in 169M people; 0.0073% not 0.0036%. Call them out on that …
