basic underpants but not as durable

These shipped quickly and were in decent shape. For the price they are a good value and I will continue to get them, but they are not as durable as they used to be. My sons are 11 and 14 and they both sleep in just their underpants now so they do get worn a lot. However, I often have to soak their briefs in bleach due to an occasional poop stain in the seat and unlike my oldest who just switched to a men's size, these boy's briefs tend to lose their shape and don't hold up as well.

Not Cut for Older Boys

I have a 28” waist with pretty muscular thighs and as someone who has worn briefs on and off all his life and tried a good variety of brands, the boys' size large is advertised to fit me based on my waist but is way too tight around the crotch area. This probably isn't a problem for younger boys and wasn't for me growing up, but after coming back and trying these again in college, I wouldn't recommend Hanes' boys briefs cut for pubescent boys. Unfortunately, Hanes' adult small equivalent feels too big with way too much room in the back that kind-of droops in a way that looks old-manny. I still prefer Hanes for undershirts and casual socks, but I've switched to Fruit of the Loom for underwear. Waist size being the same, the cut of the Boys size L Fruit of the Loom is roomier enough around the crotch area and probably better suited for most older boys and slim men than the Hanes equivalent.

At age 8, my son was ready to leave the cartoon characters behind. He starting questioning why older kids would want to wear such underwear... underwear featuring characters from shows made for little kids. He was embarrassed! So, no problem I thought. I'll simply go to Target or Wal-mart and buy him some white ones. I then looked, and looked, and looked, and looked some more. "You've got to be kidding me!" I thought to myself. I couldn't locate plain white underwear for boys anywhere! Amazon to the rescue! This product fit our son perfectly. On a side note, now only myself and my 2 year old are still wearing colored underwear around the house. Our 8 year old's maturity has us bewildered.

A little thinner than they used to be, but a good fit

I bought these for our son, who prefers briefs over boxers. We like the fit of Hanes over Fruit of the Loom, but we were a little surprised at how Hanes briefs have gotten thinner in the last few years. I'd pay more to get the old thicker style, but I haven't been able to find them at Walmart or anywhere else. I was happy to find this 6-pack here on Amazon, in the size we needed.

Why are they making the crotch so long???

As time goes on, it's harder and harder to find briefs that fit my sons. Seems like all the briefs are much too long in the crotch. My son is regular / slim. (He is 12 & in 7th grade). These fit the best, but the length to the crotch is still a bit too long. Why are they making the crotch so long???

Run Small for size

I bought these for my Grandson who is 8 yrs old , they were a size 10, we took them out of the package and it was obvious they run about two sizes to small. So if you want the right size for an 8 yr old boy you need to order up 2 sizes so you can accommodate for shrinkage as well. Unfortunately they only run to size 12 so I will have to find another seller who has the right size.
