We at Anime Femsplainer have gone through many trials and tribulations since we started the site last year, and it has become clear to us that the online anime community is a very turbulent and volatile place. One of the angriest and most vile subset of otaku in this community, however, are the “lolicons,” or as I like to call them, “anime pedophiles.”
It seems that whenever I have interacted with these people, they’re constantly raging at both me and society at large, and I have no idea why they have such a victim complex. It can’t be that I call them “pedos,” because that’s obviously what they are. Why would they get mad at that? They should just own it and accept their status as a danger to society.
It honestly frustrates me to no end…

By the way, on a totally unrelated note, have you guys heard about this kid named “Desmond is Amazing?” He’s an 11-year-old drag queen, and he’s totally FABULOUS! I saw him on TV the other night and I immediately stood up and began clapping. It was so empowering and invigorating to see a young boy defy traditional masculinity and stick it to the patriarchy at such a young age!
It really gives me hope that the next generation of kids will be raised right, meaning without all those harmful binary notions of “gender.”

As every good Feminist knows, gender is a social construct. It was completely fabricated by the white-supremacist patriarchy. That’s why we have non-binary people now. If your young kid decides that they’re non-binary and want to go on hormone blockers, you need to do it or else you’re abusing them. Don’t worry about side-effects or any of that nonsense, just work on being a good ally!
And for all the people who are going to inevitably come into our comments to tell us “but muh gender binary has always existed,” the truth is that there have been a ton of third genders throughout human history, and that’s the tea, sis!
For example, just look at the “wakashu,” a third gender that existed in Edo-period Japan. The wakashu were often androgynous young boys over the age of 8, and they usually stayed as “wakashu” until they finished adolescence. Isn’t that amazing! It turns out that the birthplace of anime once had its very own third-gender!

And this is why boys like Desmond are such an inspiration. They’re destroying the false binary that has been created around gender and bringing us one step closer to true progress and tolerance for those who are marginalized for being different. So maybe Desmond has been filmed dancing at a gay bar for the sexual attention of older men, but are we really going to let that stand in the way of us making the world a truly more empathetic and understanding place?

Anyway, back to the topic of the so-called “lolicons.”
It really amazes me that these people are freaking out simply because sites like Tumblr had enough of their degenerate drawings and rightfully shut them down. Even the evil bastion of the alt-right, GAB, had enough sense to kick them all out, which means I have at least one thing in common with the alt-right. Maybe they’re not so bad after all!
Besides, it’s not like they’re even being put in jail yet. I desperately want them to be, of course, but it’s not happening right now. So why are they so defensive about all of this?

Another quick side note, but have any of you heard of this other drag kid named Lactacia? He’s so cute, and he’s such a brave little warrior for the progressive cause! When I first saw him on TV, I stood up and started whooping excitedly while flapping my arms around like an energetic seal. It’s absolutely inspiring that an 8-year-old like him can come out and be his fabulous self in such dangerous, trying times!
Full disclosure: Lactacia has been photographed with nude adult drag queens, but I’m sure it was just friendly nudity with nothing sexual happening at all. Just a couple of queens hanging out and having a good time!

But again, instead of celebrating wonderful current-year developments like drag kids or hormone-blockers, the anime pedophiles would rather spend all of their time in their mother’s basement furiously masturbating to drawings that have been scientifically proven to be bad for society.
Honestly, it’s 2018 (edit by Eliza’s boyfriend: it’s actually 2019 now. I keep having to remind her), society is way different than it was ten years ago. If you can’t get with the program, then you deserve to suffer the consequences. Meanwhile, all of us intelligent, normal people will be kicking back and enjoying the drag kids!
