So I thought I have problem with saving the game where I would save and load the game and it takes me back to the beginning mission cutscene with nothing saved. But then I’m reading this website: https://guides.gamepressure.com/days-gone/guide.asp?ID=49721
It says You can save the game only if you are near Deacon's motorcycle or next to a bed
I feel like the game should explain this or disable the save game options when you can’t save. Ive lost a good chunk of progress in the beginning cause I would save and quit in the middle, only to take me back to the start of mission when I load the game.
Edit: thanks for the gold!
This is seriously going to ruin the game for me. I am now on the 3rd replay of Drifters on the Mountain because of the stupid save issue. I made it to Copelands camp the autosave swirl showed up and it still isnt in my saves.... wtf!
Agh. This is why I’ve got to copelands camp 3 times so far and can’t figure out why it’s taking me back to the start every time.
I noticed the same exact thing. They should not give that option if it's not available at that point in the game. That's horrible!
I'm so glad you posted this, I've been looking for answers because I've been trying to level up on my way through this mission instead of trying to just blow through it as recommended.
I’ve tried to save away from my bike or bed and it has told me that I wasn’t able to.
Thank fucking god I stumbled across this post. I've had to start the Drifters On The Mountain all over again like at least 5 times now. It's incredibly frustrating and just plain thoughtless for the developer to not make the unique, specific save system of this game explicitly clear. Like, don't fucking give me the option to save if it's not gonna save, so that I don't have to waste a shitload of time starting the mission over because I had a false expectation that the game was actually saving when I press "save game". And maybe, just maybe, make the save system known to the player instead of making us google the shit in hopes of stumbling across a guide or a post like this that addresses it and enlightens us. How do they fuck that up? How? How? Seriously.... What. The. Fuck. UGH.
What the fuck, ahhh hell no. Got the game today, played thru to where I had a shoot out to save Boozer..or wtfever his name is. Hit save, tried the 9mm, said eff that and restarted my save only to be SHOWN the timestamps, yet be taken back to the BEGINNING of the mission. Fuck these shitty releases these days, first it was Anthem, now this one...gg dev's, gg.
you are probably pressing continue instead of reloading your saved game.
I just lost a crap ton of save data for the Drifters on the Mountain mission as well. Wtf? Guess it’s time to start the mission over. 😅
I know I’m super late, just started playing it a couple days ago. Thank you for not making me feel like I’m going crazy. It’s annoying but now I know
Worst of all, the company has done nothing to address this issue. The game has been out for several months now and I’m still having the same issue. Save-game was completely pointless in the middle of a mission as it has restarted me from the beginning after reloading from a glitch. A glitch in the middle of a mission forced me to reload from a save which apparently does not exist anymore. Fucking infuriating
This is so fucking stupid, why would they make the game like this now I'm right back at beginning of cut scene
When I pull into the gas station and start filling up, I say. "Hmph. Needed this."
I see bird nests on top of light poles and think, should I light them up with a molotov?
I see mud and branches bunched together on the side of the road and think "freaker nest".
What a fucking good game. Really, what a fucking good game. Probably one of the most underrated games ever made. If there's still 1% of chance it gets a sequel, I'd certainly buy it.
I originally played this game not too long after it came out on PS4, loved the hell out of it. The gameplay, the story, the graphics, the sounds, the characters, everything is so incredible. It's jam packed full of open world content.
Fast Foward to the present and ever since the PC release I'm seeing people slam the game on all platforms, calling it "boring" or that it has a "lack of content". I've even see people call the game buggy, and I've only ever encountered maybe one minor bug in the game.
Was the game updated to remove content, what's going on?
So as the title states my intention is to create a motorcycle like the one in the game. Not necessarily as rugged and biult from trash but similar at least (we have strict regulations for vehicle safety so I'll be following that too). I have built two bikes previously but wanted to do something different
So after rdr2 I fell in love with the open world games, read about days gone in the internet and most of the pages say that its the weakest playstation exclusive but after seeing without spoilers the game I believe the game is actually good and the story is good, just need to know your opinion on the game without spoilers.
