AC Valhalla - Can't manually save game

I’m on PC, and whenever I go to manually save the game, it says “cannot save game right now”. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

I saw someone said you have to be "online" on uplay for it to save, but my internet is fine and I'm listed as online.

I hope this is fixed soon since it's basically unplayable if I can't save manually.

You have to leave the encounter/area sometimes, It's intentional.

This game does not let you save whenever/wherever.

Ah ok, I'm still in Norway right after rescuing my crew, so maybe that's why. Good to know that's probably all it is.

I keep seeing tons of threads of people talking about bugs, so I just assumed this was a bug, not a feature lol

Games used to be released broken before, but this is worse even than back in the old days. Game breaking bad. What a pile of shit. I am going to be so pissed if my last 6 hours or more just goes away. I haven’t been able to save or fast travel, and as I posted in the main thread, I’m afraid it hasn’t been saving at all. Im having the same issue. Mine came about when I tried to play dice but got randomly stuck in a cinematic camera while loading. Then when it finally came back to my character I wasn't playing dice. Now I am no longer able to save or fast travel.

Worked on PS4 too.
Autosaves seemed to be running for the usual events all the while but was not brave enough to test that they were successful and useable.
Couldn't manual save, quick save, or quick travel.

This worked for me in that it allowed me to save, but still can’t save or fast travel once I return to England. Don’t know what’s going on, but it’s game breaking at the moment. This is since the patch.

Okay I have found how to fix this. Delete all the corrupted saves then save manually. Right after and I mean right after load the file, this will load it and stop the save from getting corrupted. When it loads in it will then try and auto save goto the load menu see if the autosave is there if so it should not be corrupted if you made it in time. Load that auto save that has not been corrupted. Do that again 6 times till you see it say auto save 1. My game now auto saves fine.

I just had this issue as well, what fixed it for me was fast travelling outside of the current zone, in my case I fast travelled to my main base and it auto-saved. Super frustrating and glad I noticed before I quit for the night, would've lost ~4 hours of work. Would've sucked if I died too :/

I had the same issue today, I solved it by fast traveling to a point then I was able to save my progress. My issue was not related to Distrust areas or Restricted areas, I could not even save in open areas away from camps and fortresses.

For all the people having this bug since the 1.0.4 update; try starting a feast in your settlement. That did the trick for me. Might have to do with the cutscene triggering something I guess?

So I tried the trick with Asgard. I was able to save and fast travel there but upon returning to Raventhorpe I was still stuck with no save or fast travel.

The trick that worked for me was starting a feast buff in Ravensthorpe. Right after the animation it loaded me back into the longhouse and was finally able to save and fast travel again.

I’m not able to start a feast yet as I’m only at settlement level 3 but I’m having the same issue, I lost 3 hours of gameplay last night.

Any other fixes? Do I just go raid and hope I don’t die

Patch 1.04
What fixed it for me is that i had started questing for Petra(hunter hut girl in (Ravensthorpe)
The problems started after i picked up here 2nd quest (finding her brother) finish that one and do her next 2 quests.
3rd archery date.
4th taking her to ure bed in the longhouse
after i finished her questline (settlement lvl3 for me) the fast travel and auto save bugs disappered.

Guys, I kid you not, I’ve been trying everything but nothing seemed to work. I said screw it and started a new quest and was running around Ravensthorpe (your town) and I ran past the fishing hut (for the first time since it appeared) and I got a “Quest Completed” notification. I’m not sure what the quest was but try running around your whole town!! (PC)

EDIT: I ran past the Fowl Farm, not the fishing hut.

So I found if you travel to jotunheim or Asgard you can save there but in main game it's a no go and more like dark souls ahaha but it works

My solution was to manually ride back to my village and activate the feast bell. It “completed” some quest during that and afterwards I could save.

I added this edit a few minutes ago to one of my posts farther up, but have at it here as well. Also if you truly need to just lower your difficultly for the raid that you'll need to do to get supplies.

So I found a system that apparently works, as at least two other people have thanked me for what I found as a fix that worked for me 100%. Make sure your system is offline at the time, that way it can't cloud save. Then do a feast without skipping the cutscene and it should autosave at that point. Save the game manually then load that save up. Then travel to Norway, save the game, load that save, then travel back to England and save once more. Fast travel at that point and see if you can save right afterwards. If you can it's fixed, congrats.

I just figured it out. Override a save, for some reason there is a limit to how many saves you can store. Alternatively, delete a few of your oldest saves and now you'll be able to create a new one

Ok so past 3 days I've had to leave ps4 on rest when not playing because no matter where I was I was unable to save. I just died due to a glitch where I was falling on absolutely nothing for 20 seconds while being attacked in a base. When I press load most current save its from 3 days ago. I'm about done. I've love this series since beginning but this is by far the worst release for any game I've ever played as far as buggy right from the get go. Not sure if I'll pick this one back up.

I am having the same issue. My last save takes me go to Ravensthorpe. I can save while I’m there but as soon as a fast travel I can’t do any saves and I can’t fast travel anywhere. This is so annoying

For me it’s a bug when completing a contract kill quest. After completion, I cannot save or fast travel. Need to reboot the game and basically not complete that contract to fix it. They have a problem with the save/fast travel function

Try this, go talk to Petra about another alliance, I did this with Grantebridge. After talking with her go to sleep, directly after, meditate, then head out the front entrance of the House/barn and hang a hard left towards your goal, when you go down the path to the edge of Ravensthorpe there with be a small little creek you jump across, as soon as you get across this little creek it'll say quest completed and you'll be able to save again. Strange I know but it's what worked for me.

A little late, but I believe they only let you have 20 save game files. That what my issue was. I deleted old ones and air could save right after.

Weird how they let you have so little of them. I tend to save a lot :(

The loading in drunk is a bug too that is really freaking annoying. I got that one after doing the drinking game with the Yule festival. I couldn’t fast travel either. I tried the feast and sleeping in my own bed but none of that worked. What worked for me was going to the alliance map and “inviting Randvi to bed” after that the game worked fine.

I had an similar issue. I'm not sure if it's the exact same one all of you are having or had. I wasn't able to save after a raid. The battle music kept playing even though I was far away from the place that was raided. Fast traveling fixed the issue.

The summer sale was just too sweet to pass up. Bought 2 AC games and 1 FC game all for the price of what would normally be the price of a single game from either series. I do have FC3 and AC Rogue but that’s my only familiarity with either series. I bought the Apex Edition of FCP.

I loved Origins, didn't like Odyssey as much. And I played WD1, WD 2 is nice. What do you guys think? I have R$250 (Brazilian currency) and it costs R$224,50.

(PC steam) Can't login on the launcher to play Farcry 5, says it's connection problems but it's not

My bf just installed Farcry 5 and must log in on Ubisofts launcher to play. Whenever he tries it says there's an issue with OUR network (it works perfectly fine on my pc which is on the same network). He has been troubleshooting for several days now and he has tried every solution he's found but nothing works. He wrote a ticket but now he can't even update it.

AC Valhalla update 1.2.2.1

New update came but still no fixes for "saint faith" mission on PS4. If you are not so professional to fix it for more than a half year so may be you can just remove this mission at all for achievment requirements? Its just a shame for such huge company being unable to fix such "game breaking" glitch for a such long period. "Can you smell brimstone? ...You'll feel better after you repent"!

So I’ve been playing far cry 3

I bought the game when it was on sale with the low price of $2.99 . I started playing it, knowing it to be a masterpiece. Right now I am currently at the part where u burn the weed(best thing ever btw). But other than that, I’ve hardly found reason to be engaged. The world is all green and blue and it just got repetitive after a while. And the driving is absolute shit. The quests have so far been me just going from point a to point b and it just god dull. Is there any reason to keep playing it?

Since yesterday I started getting this message when I try to play R6, I tried everything I found on the internet (flush dns etc ... changed the internet protocol IPv4, turned off the internet protocol TCP IPv6 and turned it on again, and some other little things)
I tried everything except restarting Windows...
I even reinstalled the game and launcher, and nothing...
Does anyone know how to solve this problem, do I just have to wait or something else?

I've tried everything I could find on the internet about this. 4 hours later and the problem is still here.

I uninstalled the launcher in an attempt to fix an annoying chat bug that was getting worse. Every time I started uplay it would say I have 4, than 7 and today it said 11 new messages. It shows me people that I haven't even messaged once but just added to invite to games and after I click on the chat nothing changes, the alert is still there ......

I installed it again, didn't fix the problem ( of course ). Played 1 game of dominion in For Honor with a friend and left. After an hour I started the game up again but got that message. I tried restarting my uplay and now I cant even get into my account through the launcher.

Does anyone know a fix that works. I've tried everything from turning of IPv6 to flushing DNS, I uninstalled uplay and all the games with Revo Uninstaller, I looked for a program in Task Manager that messes with the launcher but couldn't find it, and a lot more but nothing fricking works. I've seen people fix this problem with one of the fixes mentioned above (turning IPv6 off and on....) and others but nothing is working for me.

Update 1:

I've been talking to support for the past 2+ hours trying to fix the problem. I waited in hopes that it would maybe fix after a day or after updating windows, it didn't. They were fast, direct chat line to support and they tried their best but the problem is still here. I sent all the files needed and they said the will send it to their team to see what the issue might be. Hope I get a response soon and don't get "donowalled".I will update when I get new information and hopefully a fix and a reason for the bug.

Update 2: FIXED

The bug is fixed. How? I have no clue. I turned on my PC today and started Ubi ready to see it not working again but for some reason it actually worked without any problems. Technically the bug with chat is still there but better that than not working at all.Thanks for everyone suggesting SFC but I did that as soon as the problem occurred. There were some small bugs/corrupted files in my windows that were found but it was nothing major and the problem was fixed without a hitch. But sadly the Ubi launcher continued to not work for a day and half after that.

I don't know what fixed it, maybe one or all of the things I tried and Ubi launcher spaghetti code needed time to realize it was fine now, or maybe it just fixed itself.... I don't know but I'm glad it works. I hope anyone having this problem will have it fixed soon as well. Try doing everything they recommend on their site and also all the things people have found on their own like changing DNS to 1 . 1 . 1 . 1 and 1 . 0 . 0 . 1 (it worked for some people from what I've seen) and so on....

Why am I getting this error message? It says its because I used a different email to try and play rainbow six siege, but I've only used the same one and that was to link it to my PS4. Now that I try to play it on my PC its giving me this message. I've literally bought the game first on PC, bought it again on PS4 then linked it the same email to play with my PS4 buddies, now I'm trying to play it on PC again and it's giving me this bullshit. What should I do other than messaging the support team that's been fucking useless up till this point?

Performance issue

Quick question about performance, When I ran the games on my PC for the first time,

Supposedly, with an 3070 (as I saw in benchmarks), AC origins should run at about 110 fps at 1080p. AC origins had an average of 50 fps on my PC at 1080 in crowded areas. WD Legions was at 70 at 1080p rtx ultra dlss quality with max settings. This could be normal, but with an 8 core, I expected it to go higher. My PC has a 3070 and a 10700f. Full specs will be seen if you look up "abs ALI479."

Is this supposed to happen, or is it a PC issue, ubi issue, or just a game issue?

Edit: PC was always under 60 celcius, bios was newly updated and so are the drivers.
