Mindshare appoints Merkel’s Shane McAndrew as Chief Data Strategy Officer for US

McAndrew will succeed Rolf Olsen who left last May. At Merkle, he was the Senior Vice President, Global Product Growth

WPP media agency Mindshare has hired Shane McAndrew as the new Chief Data Strategy Officer for the US. McAndrew comes from Merkle where he was the Senior Vice President, Global Product Growth. He will succeed Rolf Olsen who left last May.

According to media reports, in his new role, McAndrew will further integrate data and analytics into its media planning.

McAndrew comes to the role with over 20 years of experience across digital, marketing and ad tech.

Talking about the appointment, some media reports quoted Mindshare US CEO Adam Gerhart as saying that “Shane embodies a unique combination of art, inventiveness, and science for the role. Data is only as good as the imagination that uses it, and Shane is the rare talent that can both galvanize and inspire to bring out the very best of our teams.”
McAndrew was quoted as saying that Mindshare is one of the few agencies that actually combines an entrepreneurial spirit with the power of scale and that it’s the ideal place to inspire teams.
