Summer先生 の｢REAL 英会話｣

アメリカ合衆国 ワシントン州 シアトル出身。

2012年に早稲田大学を卒業。2016年、大学院研究生として東京大学に入学。現在、スタンフォード大学大学院博士課程在籍中。

 

2008年に来日後、学業の傍ら9年間英会話講師として活動。
2016年より英語教材や記事の執筆、監修活動を開始。電子書籍、英語教材『プライムイングリッシュ』、『好感度UPのシンプル英会話』、新書籍『12週間で「話せる」が実感できる魔法のなりきり英語音読』を執筆。

2014年「笑っていいとも!」の発音王コーナーに講師として全4回出演。2018年「世界一受けたい授業」で英語の授業を数回にわたり担当。

Youtubeチャンネル「サマー先生と英会話！」と「サマー先生のなりきり英語音読」では、英語の発音とリスニング、基礎文法などを解説した動画を配信中。

Summer was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. In 2008, she moved to Tokyo, Japan to begin studies at Waseda University. There she discovered a passion for teaching English and after graduating in 2012, Summer continued on to teach English privately, corporately, and academically, to a wide array of Japanese learners. In 2016, she received a Japanese government scholarship (MEXT) to attend the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the University of Tokyo. After living in Japan for a total of nine years, she returned to the United States, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in linguistics at Stanford University.

​Summer began creating English-language textbooks and online content in 2016. She has since published four books, including two best sellers. She is active as an English-language expert in the Japanese media and has frequently appeared on popular talk shows such as Waratte-iitomo and Sekai Ichi Uketai Jugyou. Her two Youtube channels teaching English skills to Japanese learners have received over ten-million views.
