Nashville-based mobile device insurer and tech support company Asurion has promoted Daniel Curling to senior vice president and chief information officer.
Curling will oversee a team of more than 900 employees, according to a release, and will report to Asurion Chief Operating Officer Barry Vandevier.
The release does not note whom Curling replaces.
Curling is a five-year veteran of Asurion, having most recently been responsible for the company’s enterprise technology services. Before joining Asurion, he spent nearly 10 years in senior leadership roles at Sabre Hospitality Solutions and Travelocity, where he helped deliver platform and software upgrades, worked on cloud migrations and streamlining organizations, and improved operations performance.
Curling holds a bachelor’s degree in MIS from Texas A&M University and attended the Darden Leadership for Extraordinary Performance program at the University of Virginia.
“Since joining Asurion in 2014, Daniel has proven himself to be a change agent and a thought leader,” Vandevier said in the release. “His experience as both an innovator and a leader at Asurion will serve us well as we continue to advance our capabilities and empower our team members who are supporting our customers.”
