>>46277465In Vietnam in the Lê dynasty during the rule of Emperor Lê Thánh Tông (1460-1497), all young Chinese men from Ming China who were blown off course and shipwrecked off the coast of Vietnam were captured and castrated by the Vietnamese and became eunuch slaves in the Vietnamese palace for the rest of their lives. Over 100 Chinese men were slaving as eunuchs in the Vietnamese palace for decades. After Ming China's government learned about the castrations it didn't do anything to Vietnam or rescue the eunuchs.
The Lê dynasty also ordered in 1471 for mixed raced descendants of children born to Vietnamese women and fathered by Han Chinese soldiers during Ming dynasty China's occupation of Vietnam (1407-1428) to be enslaved and used as slaves for the Vietnamese government. The Lê dynasty had drove Ming China out of Vietnam in 1428. The Vietnamese took Chams as slaves after invading Champa in 1471 and Laotians as slaves after invading Laos (Lan Xang, Lan Na and Muang Phuan) in 1479-1480.
Young Han Chinese men made up the majority of eunuchs in Vietnam in the late 15th century and children born to Han Chinese fathers and Vietnamese mothers, Chams and Laotians collectively made up the majority of slaves in Vietnam.
