Do you save whenever you want or does it autosaves in stations or can you manually save in stations and when you die you reload your game where you were in station? I mean how does it work here? Please thanks
The game automatically saves whenever you leave a station. You can't save whenever you want which means you need to make sure to stop in stations frequently in order to not lose progress. Losing progress by dying in a battle is one of the games ways of punishing you for getting blown up. That being said since everything in the game is rolled when you start a new game it's not like the loot you looted/mined won't be there to loot/mine again.

Someone else mentioned this game needing a more frequent saves. I suggested a save whenever you want feature. I think losing hours of progress in some cases is a bit too punishing. I know it affects balance and such but oy.
In practice you sort of have to dock all the time to get missions or repair or offload stuff. If you stay in flight for more than 20 minutes a tip pops up reminding you to save but almost nobody makes it that far without docking...
If you want to force a save, exiting and continuing does so.
More like Apple IIe. You can't program on an N64 and programming seems to be something very close to Travis's heart. Plus I know he loves early PC/desktop computing stuff. :)
I have a IIgs, a C64, an A500, a snes, a nes, and an n64. An original monitor each for the PCs and a Sony Wega for the consoles. It's like a warm, comforting blanket of retro.

I just want a TRS-80. and Apple IIe, an Atari 400 and a Compaq portable III. Those were the computers I first started gaming and writing on. I never was that good at programming but I managed to create a choose your own adventure story on my schools TRS-80. It was about 120 pages-enough to have three different endings (all good-I never was one for unhappy endings). Of course it had something to do with a lonely kid finding someone to be friends with. I didn't have any back then, really. Kind of why I'm so grateful for the ones I have now.
