Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer, Arch Capital Group Ltd., has announced the promotion of Prashant Nema to Group Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Most recently, Nema served as Senior Vice President (SVP), Divisional CIO for Insurance and U.S. Mortgage Insurance at Arch, and has been with the firm since October of 2015.
Prior to Arch, he was the Chief Technology Officer of mobile commerce start-up, Didalio, which he co-founded.
From 2005 to 2010, he served as the Chief Technology Officer of Silicon Valley Bank, and was appointed CIO of SVB Financial Group in March 2010, before leaving to co-found Didalio in April 2013.
Earlier in his career, Nema worked at Oracle Corporation as a Director of Program Management, Integration Products, and he has also spent time with Xoriant as a Principal Architect/Practice Manager, and at BP as a Systems Controller.
In his role as a group CIO at Arch, Nema is responsible for technology leadership at Arch Worldwide Infrastructure, Arch Insurance, and Arch Mortgage Insurance.
