Eat meat or don't eat meat — but industrial farming in all forms is bad, no matter what is being produced.

Oddly enough, I got into a pretty heated argument about this exact with my husband recently. (In case it's not obvious, I'm on team Sustainable, Free-Range, Conscious Farming.)

Hokkaido, Okayama and Hiroshima prefectures have been added to Japan's State of Emergency. Refresher for those outside the country: No alcohol sales at restaurants, bars; voluntary closures of restaurants, department stores etc. at 8pm; event attendance capped at 5,000.

I've been begging for the rain in Tokyo to stop, since we're not in rainy season — and I'm being rewarded with rain on my birthday when I was planning on going somewhere exclusively outdoors.

Two of those children, 14-year-old Tree Africa and 12-year-old Delisha Africa, have been denied peace even in death. Their remains were stolen by the city, held in a museum, and are now missing. These little girls and their family deserve so much better.
