This is why I loathe autosave and don't trust it.

rookie move OP, always make a backup save, always.

Also if you want to redo a mission, it helps to have dat backup save.

Any long RPG or GTA type game I usually roll multiple alternating game saves. Lesson learned after so many Fallout 3 and NV save file crashes.

I thought this was some work writing assignment on your computer.

I see that it's worse than I feared. Those missions can be tricky and to do them again... ughhh the mental energy it will take to power through so you can go is enormous.

Yeah, I'm always super paranoid about saves. The one fucking time I don't make sure to manually save, this shit happens.

man i've become a paranoid as shit game saver where i'll have multiple save files and i'll save the game every chance i get especially on games that are prone to crash for no fucking reason like the Fallout games or any game on PC made by Ubisoft

like i've been trying to play Deadly Premonition for PC but it's just such a shit port that it is literally unplayable but I save every 10 minutes

Your mom's box
I just learned that lesson the hard way after playing Dragon's Dogma last night. I figured since it was autosaving after each quest that I would be fine if I died.

you ever play a ps1 or ps2 game and forget ther eis no autosave for most of these games? It's devastating when you turn that console off and realize you never saved.
I remember when me and my friend were doing a 100% run of the first 3 Crash games. He fuckin did this twice and lost like 20% worth each time. Made him replay everything himself lol

Fallout on console was really bad for that, I remember having to play multiple sections again and again because of save file crashes.

Come on OP, GTA V is by far the easiest to back up saves with. You just pull up your phone, press quick save, and then choose either a new file or overwrite an existing one.

So glad they got rid of the whole "go back to your house to save". I mean, you can still do that, but why?
