[Shonan Campus] Outbreak of new coronavirus infection (as of May 13)

Following the three infected people found on Wednesday, May 12, 52 new coronavirus infections were confirmed among students belonging to the men's judo club on the Shonan Campus Students and faculty members who are suspected of having close contact are conducting PCR tests. At this time, all infected people have been reported to be asymptomatic.
From today, the men's judo club has suspended club activities for the time being, and has taken measures to prohibit all members and staff from going out. Under the guidance of the competent health center, we dealt with infected people and disinfected facilities on the Shonan Campus Budokan (Martial Arts Training Hall) etc.) where the men's judo club is active.
We will continue to work with related organizations such as public health centers to prevent the spread of infection. If a new infected person is found in the future regarding this matter, we will notify you at any time.

The following measures will be taken to prevent infection.
(1) Students are prohibited from entering the Shonan school building for 10 days from May 14th (Friday) to May 23rd (Sunday), 2021.
(2) Classes will be temporarily canceled on May 14th (Friday) and May 15th (Saturday).
(3) All classes at Shonan School Building from May 17th (Monday) to May 22nd (Saturday) will be held remotely.
