Note that those living in Japan, “MAY be asked to take a COVID-19 test before their participation in the games” Hubris. Japan had a racist & ethnocentric immigration policies during this long pandemic which required non-Japanese to be tested before entering but not Japanese

Yes because we keep forgetting that coronavirus is a nocturnal creature that drinks alcohol and it can’t hurt you if you go home before it gets dark. You can never catch it from going to your poorly ventilated workplace or riding the train

Important safety questions for IOC. Why won’t u test all volunteers every day for COVID19? Why not vaccinate all staff not just athletes? Why can’t you wait for the Olympics to be held when everyone in Japan is vaccinated? How many deaths are acceptable?

All volunteers are expected to put their lives on the line for the games, They are expected to pay for the privilege out of their own pocket for COVID19 tests. But if you die on the job, you can put a Tokyo 2020 sign on your coffin! Oh? No? Copyright violation

Clearly, being vaccinated is not Japan's responsibility but the mother country (even though the consequences will impact THEIR residents). But punishing them is under Japanese law (aka taking away your visa in worst case). None of the inconvenients for
