Marta Zarraga appointed chief information officer of Capital Group

Investment company Capital Group has announced the appointment of Marta Zarraga as its new global chief information officer Marta Zarraga appointed chief information officer of Capital Group image

New chief information officer Zarraga brings over 25 years’ industry experience to Capital Group, and will oversee technology and cyber security at the investment organisation.

With experience spanning multiple sectors, including insurance and telecoms, Zarraga has previously held the CIO position at Aviva, Vodafone and BT, and holds a master’s degree in computer engineering from Universidad de Deusto.

The new executive appointment was selected as a result of a global search, based on her technical qualifications, experience in driving business value through technology, and focus on developing successful and diverse teams.

Having celebrated its 90th anniversary this year, Capital Group has amassed assets under management of more than $2.3 trillion, as of the 31st December 2020.
