Hi,
The golden age of modern mercenaries was in 1960s and 1970s, especially in Africa: Kongo, Nigeria, Angola etc. If you have any photos or links, I would appreciate it a lot, especially from Nigeria.
The guy, who scan for me in the internet place didnt made his best work today, so sorry about the bad quality of the photos.

Few more:
Colonel Jean "Black Jack" Schramme is one of the few mercenary leaders in black Africa to lead a successful coup d´etat on an Africar dictotor. He is wearing the insignia, shown on the next photo.

Personalities:
Rolf Steiner pauses from command of Biafran army brigade in 1968. Steiner was top merc of savage civil war in which American Nick Bishop led Ibo troops of Biafra´s 4th commando.

Death in Biafra. Left "Taffy" Williams giving orders for the attack on Onitsha (10 November 1968) to the Flemish mercenary Marc Goosens. The meditative mercenary sucking a straw is Armand Ianarelli. Minutes later Goosens has been killed. His men bring back his body.
