An illustrator in #China re-created a famous Japanese painting The Great Wave off #Kanagawa. If Katsushika Hokusai, the original author is still alive today, he would also be very concerned about #JapanNuclearWater.

We prefer neighbours with a strip of clear water to neighbours with a strip of waste water.

Is that the Tieling power plant in the background? The one in Liaoning that will be dumping contaminated water into the ocean?

It's the driving force behind battleships, so it's the American military you're afraid of, isn't it? The use of nuclear weapons.

So, would be a good opportunity to review the amount of radioisotopes each country releases into the sea. Fair enough.

I welcome Japan's announcement on how it will dispose of the treated water stored at #Fukushima nuclear power plant. @IAEAorg will work w/
before, during & after the discharge of the water to help ensure this is carried out without an adverse impact on health & environment.1/2

Although Chinese engineers are very talented, it is very disappointing that there are people like you who do not understand the content of chemical substances and use them for politics. Did you check the amount of chemicals that China's nuclear power plants drain???

I must say that it is quite ridiculous for your country to ridicule the decision of Japan, which is recognized by the IAEA and other interested countries such as the U.S. and South Korea, without mentioning its own radioisotope emissions.

I am amazed, angry, dismayed, and saddened at the same time that a government official from a neighboring country is openly making malicious statements that try to stir up anxiety with sentimental words that are the opposite of scientific judgment!

It's just a question of which to believe, the IAEA Director General's announcement or the ramblings of ordinary people in China and South Korea who are trying to undermine Japan.
