So, this is my take on the new card Dragon's Approach in EDH. There are very few dragons in the list, I'm just trying to abuse the mechanic of having multiple copies in my deck since the spell itself isn't awful. There are a lot of cards you can play in a deck like this that you can't profitably in other decks, which really appeals to me. Is this going to be a good deck? Probably not. Will it be fun? I hope so. There's probably versions of this that you can use to cheat dragons into play and do crazy stuff, but after about an hour and a half of brewing, I felt the dragons just got in the way of what I personally wanted to do.

What the hell does this deck do?

As always I'm open to suggestions as this is a rough draft. And if you see anyone else building around this card in commander, let me know cause I'll want to see it.

Obosh — April 12, 2021

Changed the deck from Grenzo to Obosh for the purpose of having a damage doubler in the command zone and because Grenzo really wasn't doing much even as a mana sink. Removed some of the cute creatures and added more draw/looting style effects to try and get some consistency.

If you can make room for Exquisite Blood then you can go infinite with treasonous ogre and enough copies of approach of the dragon. Villis, Broker of Blood gets you card draw while paying life, but I'm not sure he's a good fit. Too bad he's not a demon dragon. :P

Wrynfroe - I’m not sure that either one of these cards is quite worth the slot on their own, because 5 mana lifelink on my spells is pretty cost inefficient, I don’t have any way to pay life consistently without the Ogre, and I can already go pseudo infinite with any of the mana engines as is, but thanks for the suggestions.

Since already run Birgi and Runaway Steamkin, I would suggest adding in Grinning Ignus, as he goes infinite with either of those cards. Seems like a fun deck overall though, Grenzo is one of my favorite decks.
