Bryan Harris promoted to CTO at SAS

SAS has looked within to name Bryan Harris as its new chief technology officer, promoting him from his position as senior vice-president and head of engineering Bryan Harris promoted to CTO at SAS image

With more than 20 years’ technology experience, working in analytics research and development, cloud architecture, enterprise search, distributed computing and user experience, new CTO Harris had served as an R&D leader at SAS for nearly ten years.

Most recently, as senior vice-president and head of engineering, Harris played a prominent part in the release of SAS Viya, the latest advancement of SAS software, which enables customers to drive analytic innovation.

Prior to SAS, Harris served as CTO of VSTI (now part of SAS), where he built out an Advanced Solutions Lab for emerging technologies, and also held this role at ADG Creative.

The new SAS CTO, who will succeed Oliver Schabenberger in the role, holds a BS in electrical engineering from Drexel University.
