Brad is a solid choice and states what he wants and expects out of the class very clearly. This class was a great choice for a 'W' credit. However, participation is very important.

he thinks everything he says is right, spends 80+ minutes talking on and on, if you don't agree with him he will give you less grade and even if that assignment isn't for grade he will tell you how you were wrong. remote learning and still forced everyone to have camera on. he will nit pick EVERY detail of instructions so you don't know what to do!

This guy is absurd, he grades in an extremely difficult way, and is always keeping you on your toes. He claims to be clear with his assignments but sends essay like emails for directions, and gets mad when you ask him simple questions. Don't take this.

I didn't like this class from the beginning. The professor is very opinionated and thinks that everything he says is right in terms of analyzing readings. There are a lot of papers in the class, some are shorter than others, but he grades very harshly. I never skipped class, worked hard on all my assignments but still ended up with a mediocre grade

Attendance is graded. His grading seemed kinda odd at the beginning of the quarter but got easier to understand later on. You get 5 points EC for going to the writing center, but his class can get kinda boring, esp if you're in a 2 hour lecture.

He's a very good professor, allows you to freely writer whatever you want without a strict or boring structure, defiantly worth taking and an easy A in my opinion. You also have an opportunity for extra credit as well as a revision. No Quizzes and No Tests, just show up and do some little writing activities and you will do fine in this class!

a caring and nice professor! He cares for his students and even brought us food. I enjoyed taking his class, it was comfortable like taking an english class in high school. He understands if you may have trouble speaking up in class, so you can get participation points by participating in the weekly canvas discussion board.

I love his sense of humor so the classes were always enjoyable. I personally dont like reading and writing, but this professor made it less painful. The grading is pretty fair and he includes various assignments that are easy for students.

I really enjoyed Brad's portrait-focused english class. We had a variety of interesting readings, films, plays, photograph series and paintings that were fun to explore. Brad is energetic and excited, a fun and engaging teacher. I will say that the class was probably pretty difficult for ESL students, as most of the texts were complex and abstract.

So kind and clearly cares about his students. Insightful analysis and made me think critically about the texts. Would recommend his class to anyone.

Hard to stay awake for the 2 hour discussions, but his passion about the texts helped engage me. He is really smart, kind, but he requires you to think critically about dense material. He's quirky, self-proclaimed awkward, loves German, and his kids. He's a good professor; it'll likely be the course topic/texts that aren't the greatest. Go to OH!
