  • Standard client features
    Updated the Zoom VDI client and thin client plugin to include improvements made to the standard Zoom client in version 5.5.0.
  • Message alerts in FallbackMode
    Users can receive message alerts if the FallbackMode value is set to 1,2,5, or 6 in the registry. Only a value of 4 would allow messages to be sent previously. 
  • Support for Jabra devices on Mac
    Mac users with Jabra devices can mute/unmute in a meeting. 
  • Support for virtual background with green screen on Linux
  • Open source software information
    Users can click About on the thin client interface to view the open source software information.

Changes to existing features

  • Blocking or warning of unencrypted traffic
    All unencrypted Zoom traffic will be blocked from connecting to meetings or webinars. Other external unencrypted traffic, such as phone dial-in and RTMP streaming, will be allowed, but warn all participants that the meeting is not entirely encrypted.   • AES 256-bit GCM encryption
    Zoom is upgrading to the AES 256-bit GCM encryption standard, which offers increased protection of your meeting data in transit and resistance against tampering. This provides confidentiality and integrity assurances on your Zoom Meeting, Zoom Video Webinar, and Zoom Phone data. This version of Zoom for Virtual Desktop will support GCM encryption when it is automatically enabled for all accounts on May 30.
