I got a taxi in the middle of the day in Tokyo back in 2019, and my elderly driver fell asleep twice at the wheel...

I once had my family in a late night taxi from Narita. Driver clearly was dozing while doing 130km/h. I actually shouted at him to get off the highway and let us use a different taxi. He waved it off and kept going (Adachi numberplate taxi..) obviously wanted the fare to get home

Yikes, that is way worse! I was in central Tokyo and he was nodding off at traffic lights, at which point I felt it was polite to start coughing heavily in the back of the cab (dawns on me that it wouldn't be today...)
