Q & A

How did the Zurich Dance Academy draw your attention?

I wanted to come to Zurich to improve my ballet technique, qualities etc., to become a ballet dancer, which always has been my dream. Also, by studying abroad, I could become independent. I learned the skills to be able to realize my dreams.

What has influenced you the most during your education at the Zurich Dance Academy?
First of all, being able to meet Steffi Scherzer and Oliver Matz gave me a chance to change and I think that is a big influence. Otherwise, I don’t think I would be here and who I am today. Every season’s exams and every year’s performances have helped me grow constantly over the last four years. I have learned a lot. There were so many positive influences on my mental, behavioral and human nature.

The best feeling on stage is for me …
I have three best feeling on stage: First is the end of the performance, when the audience is clapping their hands. I think, nobody feels bad at this point and everybody feels so happy. Second, when I take the very first step on stage. It gives me so much energy and it feels like I am in another shining world. Third, when the technique and routine go well on stage. When I have difficulties steps, I practice a lot before the show. And then I do them on stage with no mistakes. It is the best feeling for me.

One of the most beautiful experiences at the Zurich Dance Academy was…
That is the participation at Prix de Lausanne, 2020. It was a dream stage that never changed since I was little. I was able to achieve that. I’m so grateful to the school for helping me to do that. This is not just this school life, but a wonderful experience of my life.
