Use to go ice skating on my grandfather's pond. He would check it at the edges. If it was not a least 10 inches or so thick, we were not allowed to go out on it!

“Warning, if you have pets please be careful. Thank goodness I was out near the pool.” said Dan Holmes from Southlake, TX on Monday. Dan and his Australian Shepherd are fine, but it is a reminder for dog owners everywhere to be extra careful around new, cold weather!
