この解説を行った高知大学医学部教授横山彰仁氏は、（後遺症についての）国の調査・研究を主導する医師。
国が主導する調査・研究には、もともとあまり期待はしていなかったが、やはり「コロナ後遺症を矮小化して手打ちにしよう」という政権の意向を忖度（そんたく）したものとなりつつあるのかも。
