八重山日報社は尖閣周辺に出漁している漁業者で、市議の仲間均氏が撮影した中国海警局の艦船の写真を入手。中国は１日から海警法を施行、中国海警局の艦船に武器使用を認め、日本漁船への脅威が高まった。写真には赤く目立つよう塗装された機関砲のような武器が写っている。

武装してる海警局の船は、30mm機関砲クラスを装備している様です。
海警局の船によっては、海軍が装備している76mm砲を装備しているのもいます(wikipediaより)
