Sacred 2 is the clunkiest ARPG of all time. While it has some interesting ideas, and isn't completely unplayable, you're better off with almost any other entry in this genre.

+ Impressive pathing. Click almost anywhere, and your character will find their way.

+- Free Camera
+- Skill lines. Interesting but limiting
+- Old graphics with decent performance
+- Move with WASD, but steers like a vehicle

- Clunky controls and UI
- Strange shared CD system
- Convoluted skill upgrading system
- In coop, only one player can hear quest dialogue
- Coop doesn't save quest progress unless perfectly synced
- Multiplayer is shutdown. Can get it working in LAN mode, if you're lucky.

Pros:
Coop
Army Painter
Campaign missions
Many factions and units
Hero customization between missions
Simple gameplay

Cons:
Simple gameplay
Poor story
Long load times
Non-hero squads are underpowered to the point of being useless

Campaign: Lacking the S of RTS gameplaywise, you can simply attackmove your squad of heroes to the objective and beat every mission on the hardest difficulty. However, this simple hero style gameplay works well, and offers a lot of strategy and depth between missions, as you customize with levels/skills and gear.

Last Stand: Every element of this mode is badly designed, enemies don't move to a set location, player classes are unbalanced, even moreso by the new pay2win class. Waves are also unbalanced, a Space Marine is nearly invincible until wave 9, where a difficulty spike destroys him. However, still quite addictive, because of the build variety and the way gear is rewarded. Strikes the same notes as a MOBA, I suppose, terrible game design, but high replay value. Also disappointing that this mode can't be played solo, with control of all 3 heroes yourself. Also if a player leaves, you are permanently gimped down to 2 heroes.

Multiplayer: Because there is no actual strategy in this RTS, the skirmish type mode seems pointless. You don't build up resources, or bases, or armies, or make planned attacks. You essentially just zerg rush 2 points on the map and win, not much counterplay.

Graphics aren't great, but many years old, and hardly relevant in an RTS. The story is bad, badly written, badly delivered, overall confusing, but also somewhat irrelevant in an RTS.

According to the ingame player counts, this game reaches 5k active players at a time. Not entirely sure where they reside, the multiplayer seems understandably empty, the last stand mode only reports around 300 players at most, half that if searches include both maps, perhaps everyone is playing coop campaign?

First off, and as enough reason to never buy this on Steam, Dark Souls 1 is the worst PC port of all time. Then there's the difficulty that everyone pretends to like (the cool kids like games that unfairly kill you, apparently, try your best to fit in), which is 99% pitfall difficulty, IE; you run into a room and die to cheap nonsense from behind, then you know how to handle that room, so it becomes easier. Of course, even once you do know area layouts, the game is a painfully slow old-school MMO style "pull 1 enemy at a time" waste of enjoyment. All of that, on top of stat-based difficulty, instead of skill-based gameplay. The lock-on system is unresponsive upon enemy death. I don't like the metroid-vania style gameplay flow (especially since I had originally heard claims that this game was open world, unlike its predecessor). There's practically no story. Movement is slow and clunky, especially in armor. Hate the stamina system. A worse corpse running system than WoW. Enemies respawn, what is this, the 80s?. Co-op is 1sided and nearly impossible to even get into. There's only a single stat worth putting points into, and a single class worth starting as. The only aspect of the game I find even remotely skill based is parrying, which is 100% trial and error, trying to figure out each enemy's timing, and if their attacks are even parry-able (more of that simulated/pitfall difficulty).

~magical note~ This review was in response to someone, and parts of it may be more relevant to the original Demon's Souls on PS3, which I spent more time playing than this horrendous port. I also haven't played Dark Souls 2, so who knows if they ever made the series playable.

Far Cry 3: ★★☆☆☆
You're a frat boy, trying to save your frat boy friends, from some generic psycho who isn't even the main boss, not a single likable character in the entire game. The wing-suit will kill you 9 times out of 10, no way to travel up hill - on a terrain that needs it, your stealth suit is stolen as a "reward" for beating the game, the upgrade system mars you with tattoos, every boss battle is a drug induced quick-time event, and there's no co-op. All of these issues and more, fixed in FC4! Aside from the wing-suit, that thing is still a death trap.

Far Cry 4: ★★★★☆
More OpenWorld Stealth FPS. This time with a likeable cast, and less frustrating gameplay, and co-op.

+ Graphics
+ Quick Sell
+ Auto Drive
+ Fast Travel
+ Good driving
+ Useful minimap
+ Hunting syringe
+ Looting animation
+ Hunting & Gathering
+ Weapon customization
+ Upgrade your own house
+ Attack and defend outposts
+ Many upgrades and unlocks
+ That lil crossbow and grenade launcher
+ Best grapplehook system, if only it was dynamic
+ Animal fuzz graphics, more games should use this
+ Interesting sidequests (climb towers, rescue hostages, races, assassinations, etc)
+ Shangrala, its setting, slowmo bow, and tiger pal. Too bad you can't use them in campaign

+- Dinky copters and wing suit, both likely to get you killed
+- Coop, though you can't do the main story missions coop
+- Story choices, though they're a bit 1 sided and have no impact
+- Call in an NPC sidekick. Singleplayer only, and not on missions
+- Karma system is a bit weird. Punishes you only for murdering civilians, rewards you for killing animals

- That radio guy
- Draw distance issues
- Missions aren't replayable
- Half of the map is locked by story progress
- Having to hold a key to do everything, instead of just pressing it. This should only exist to stop weapon swaps, which it doesn't. At least they added an animated feedback bar for it.
- Game can be overly difficult/frustrating, especially the insta-fail stealth missions, and the difficulty setting seems to have almost no impact on how hard any part of the game is

★☆☆☆☆

Easily the worst entry of nearly 500 games in my Steam library, this can't even be qualified as a game. Its barely an hour long, all you can do is walk around, you can't even sprint or jump or interact with anything.

The short time I spent "playing" this, I kept waiting for something to happen, a jump scare, a puzzle, a new feature besides "walk slowly", something, anything, but nothing ever did. You simply walk down a linear path, at a painfully slow pace, while some nonsensically meaningless story is vaguely hinted at.

Maybe, if this were free, and used as a demo for the Oculus Rift, it might be worth a try, as it stands now, however, its not even worth free, and they expect you to pay for it.

The idea of Planetside 2 is amazing, a persistent openworld scifi Battlefield, but I can see why this game lost most of its players. It was never a great game to begin with, and has only gotten worse. For how many years its has been out, and how much money it must have made, its less polished than the average Early Access project.

- The character creation process is bugged with server roulette and missing tutorials
- Unlocks are a pay2win grind
- classes, factions, and vehicles are all unbalanced
- every class should have a jetpack
- can't prone
- ReDeploying to get around
- ADS and hipfire mouse sensitivity don't match - though they can be adjusted seperately to force such an effect
- events reward a team for holding the most bases, thats the normal objective, meaning events are pointless and have no impact on gameplay
- trying to deploy a sunderer is glitchily restricted
- HUDs for healing and repairs glitchily disappear
- putting down turrets doesn't work in 90% of places
- friendly player markers don't show half the time, especially on vehicles
- friendly nameplates can be the same color as enemy ones
- night doesn't get darker, just blue-er
- graphic and network performance is terrible, as is the patcher
- Turrets don't detect LoS, and shoot walls
- constant long loading screens
- servers crash
- No killcams, not even the pathetically lazy kind that just points at your killer
- gameplay is a confusing mess, the HUD is littered with icons, none of which are useful
- friendly fire is always enabled
- dying feels super clunky
- kill trades
- insta-deaths
- unrewarded assists
- inaccurate hit markers
- reviving isn't effectively communicated
- every death feels quick cheap unexpected and unfair
- enemies can camp vehicle hubs with mines, instantly spawn killing you
- way-points are only marked by colors (not relevant letters), same for base names
- all bases are made of the same handful of repeated buildings
- maps are huge but mostly wasted space, like MGSV you can only attack bases from preset roads
- vehicles are pretty much guaranteed to explode if taken off-road
- spawn systems and map flow are terribly designed (though instant-action is probably the only good feature ever added)
- everything screams unintuitive. And SoE was sold off after H1Z1.

★★☆☆☆
Dragon's Dogma has epic combat and RPG systems, but is dragged down by many other flawed systems, which seem to be there purely to make the game longer, tedious, and/or frustrating.

+ Barbers
+ Lanterns
+ The Everfall
+ Lite parkour
+ Book of Credits
+ Sheathe weapons
+ Multi-class system
+ Combat & Boss Battles
+ Theme/Enemies/Graphic Style
+ Equipment variety and layering
+ Create a partner, then a party with other players' partners

+- Fully voice acted, but text doesn't auto-advance
+- Pawn inclination (AI customization) is so convoluted
+- Weak graphics, but it is an HD port of a last gen game
+- NewGame+ Not as good as a persistent open world, but ok
+- Lots of equipment sets, but they rarely seem to be stat upgrades
+- Helmets toggle their visors in friendly areas, but not in cutscenes
+- Port crystals would be a nice addition to fast travel, but there is no default fast travel

- Aught
- Stamina
- Only 1 save slot
- No multiplayer/coop
- Class-locked equipment
- Missable, timed, and failable quests
- Only 1 major quest hub, leads to endless backtracking
- The game often drops quest lines, leaving you with no direction
- Pawn orders don't work well, because they aren't potent or persistent
- The entirety of the world feels like a single, poorly constructed MMO zone
- Meaningless chests. Most give a common item at random, and soon respawn
- Some bosses can get a bit bullet-spongey/button-mashy. Can only cut so many regrowing heads off a Hydra before it starts to get old, eh
- Doesn't hit its stride until you reach high class level, which can take 20+ hours, then has a very short finishing act which is better than the rest of the game.
- Bad quest tracker; half the quests don't have markers, main quests are mixed among countless "Kill 10 Bears" quests, defaults to equipping those "Kill 10 Bears" quests whenever you complete a real one
- Unbalance/Difficulty spikes throughout (ie; an early main quest has you easily fighting undead, only to be attacked by a troll, nearly impossible to defeat, unless you cheap him off a ledge. Things like this happen regularly)
- The inventory system is nonsense. Each character has a weight limit, but its more or less unlimited if you just unload things onto your pawns, but what a huge chore that is. Then on top of that, there's a storage space that can hold infinite items, and it makes expirable items never expire.

* Controller required
* Easy Mode recommended, then hard mode with NewGame+
* Strider with a Mage partner as starting classes recommended

If you're specifically looking for a truck driving simulator, go for it, I guess. Otherwise, there are countless better options available.

Graphics
Below average in quality, and utterly uninteresting.

Gameplay
Stiff, with unintuitive controls all over the keyboard. Every mission is the same, drive from point A to point B, on what feels like auto-created identical linear highways.

Story
I don't think there is one? You're a trucker, trying to start your own trucking empire, by driving other people's trucks...

You could play this game in GTA5, with 100x more features, and actually have fun in the process. The game as a whole does exactly what its advertised as, and pretty much exactly what I expected from it, but I have no idea why this even exists, or why its so popular. No interesting or unique features, a simple driving sim, not even multiplayer. The 18 Wheels of Steel series (made by the same company) came out nearly a decade ago, and is practically identical to this, aside from having even weaker graphics, and varied features.
