Hey after seeing the dvs fileshare subdomain for Dominion, I scanned a wildcard "dominionvotingSYSTEMS(.)com" and it led me to a horribly insecure data center in Quanzho, China.

With all the SSH issues here, we need to consider whether Port 22 was misused to carry other data protocols (ftp etc.) to hide the transfers and/or auth compromises. I’ve detected that in some security incident responses.

To transfer data via ssh you need to upload these files anywhere on any site and I think anyone would agree if I say, that anyone try to keep it a secret and it would be dumb to upload it anywhere, so you have to use ftp and not ssh.

I would put the focus more on why they store the data in HK data center before port security. It is slow to access the data on the other side of the earth, usually you do this for business reason. And for this application there don't seem to be one.

DVS was founded in 2002, that site is from May 2020. It also (if you check), fails to load and (1/3)
