Plot Summary

An alien power shows up and tries to seal away anything and everything sexual and drain people of their sexual desire and, by extension, their hopes, dreams and ambitions until they're empty shells.

Saw both the AT-X version and the censored version on Funimation, and honestly I was surprised by how little censorship they removed in the "uncensored" version. Only real change was the removal of a book that hid Hoshino's panties in one scene.

Still, looks like it could be a fun series. Hard to say if it'll be "harem" or not; could just be a couple and a few girls who're real close to them and fight at their side. So this series is what happens when you take the Super Sentai concept, add a dash of Harem, and the make main gimmick the heroes' libido as a weapon against monsters with all the eroticism that entails. Shizuka Ito as the monster of the week! I feel like I've seen that before (or at least she's been a villain in a Sentai-esque show. She's probably been in PreCure). It also seems like all the villainous aliens are female, which...makes me wonder what this show is trying to say there :eyebrow:.

I wonder what the team dynamic is going to be like with the HxEros. Obviously Retto and Hoshina are the main pair/couple and it's pretty clear they still have feelings for each other, and they're relationship is featured heavily in the Opening, but I can't imagine Retto living with the other girls and this team running on pervertedness won't lead to some sexy shenanigans. Maybe it will be less love shenanigans and more the other girls need to get into compromising situations with Retto to boost him up and make Hoshino jealous :uhoh:.

I was wondering what happened to Hoshino, since it didn't seem like she lost her love or sexual desire so much as just repressed it, but then it turns out that even as a child she was so perverted that just absorbing a little of that was enough to leave her unaffected and blow the monster up. I mean, I could tell she knew what she wanted when she was intimately locking hands with Retto for practice, but not to that extent :twitch:.

But figures that getting called out for being a gigantic pervert as a kid would make her pull a complete 180 to try and deny it. I guess the main thrust will be Hoshino having to accept and embrace her feelings again and be open about it. Which will probably mean more moments with Retto :).

I love how the Opening is like this classic Sentai Opening but it's for an Erotic Sentai. I mean, look at the girls in their lovely and sexy outfits. When I was going over what was coming next season couple weeks back and spotted this I checked out some random chapter of this from it's manga and thought, okay this seems ridiculous enough to peek my interests at least at the start.
But I have to say production values were much better than what I was expecting. I was expecting a garbage cashgrab ecchi that due to budget can't even do ecchi right.
But someone clearly put quite some effort in coloring and shading this. So GG.

I do kind of feel for that girl. Talk about a traumatic childhood memory. On the positive side her personality and emotions weren't screwed up by the act of having her energy absorbed. But dang, having all that thrown in her face by a monster there to attack her is just rough. Utterly humiliating. Even if it went all the way over Enjo's head at the time.

Honestly the show looked way better than I expected. And also seems to be much more a main couple and supporting cast situation than I would have expected. Might be some light harem antics mixed in, but that might be as far as they go with it.

Well, it's kind of a two-way street since we have an apparently all-female race out to drain everyone's libido and sense of eroticism, while the group of heroes is mostly made up of women, which either implies girls secretly have giant libido's or they needed more girls to get into erotic situations with Retto to power him up. There is undeniably a certain level of social commentary to the story and there's actually a good blog post on RandomC about it. It's just that unsurprisingly, a Western audience has decided to interpret things in a Western-centric lens. You're better off just ignoring that sort of thing. It's not worth the time of day.

But ultimately at the end of the day, it's just an ecchi show. Nobody should be taking it too seriously. Alas if only the social commentary was a bit more biting like Shimoneta then I might have bothered with this anime, but ecchi shows aren't my thing so I'm passing on this one.

I'd say only in the fact that power comes from perversion/arousal. If I recall correctly the MC in Daimidaler was a raging, sometimes borderline predatory pervert and the aliens simply attacked. Here on the other hand all of the characters are mostly normal and the enemies are specifically trying to eliminate all erotic desires from the world as well as destroying or censoring anything that triggers such desires.

Also, a pity they decided to call the enemies "kiseishuu" in the Funimation translation. For starters, because it's not "kiseishuu" it's "kiseiCHUU". And also because leaving it untranslated gets in the way of the meaning. "Chuu" is just a way to say "bug", and "kisei" means regulation or prohibition. They're prohibition bugs, or, as the manga translation I've seen puts it, censor bugs.

I've seen the translations online and downloaded the manga volumes. Yes the manga versions censor and the volumes do not.

Censorship with anime is all over the place. Sometimes you get stuff that is more explicit than the source material and sometimes you get stuff that is less explicit than the source material. I have no idea what allows anime adaptations to be those ways, but it is disappointing that this show didn't get to be explicit in the way you mentioned. The last time we got this kind of show, I think it was Masou Gakuen HxH and it was more explicit than the original light novel.

Well either way it was a good ep this week. And they fixed the bugs' name. They chose some odd lines to cut, like Kirara hesitating to save that boy because she heard the reg bug talking about the things he fantasized doing to her (yeah, it'd be a little harder to want to save a guy whose mind is filled with fantasies of assaulting or humiliating her), or Retto trying to stop the boss from telling Kirara what she has that makes her "qualified". Quite fun overall. Also, this week's loli Kirara was much bolder. Interesting that she apparently tried to get him to feel her up BEFORE she went for hand-holding.

O.K., I didn't really follow MGHxH but even I that content wise the light novels are more explicit than the anime. The anime version might be more lewd than the light novel pictures but content wise the novels themselves are a lot more dirty from what I know.

While I'm not big on throwing in censorship...I didn't find it a big deal here. All in all pretty minor and at least they are going somewhat stylish with it instead crummy random fog or blacking out parts of the screen. Kind of fits the superhero style to go with bright stars and such.

And at least the episode itself was pretty good. Getting a better look at the young Kirara and how darn bold she really was. All about sticking close to the guy she liked as much as she could in whatever ways she could get away with. At least her in the present is getting that the status quo isn't any good. She's not going to be any happier building a massive wall between herself and Enjo. Not as simple as flipping the switch to how she used to be, but if she can make steady progress that's something.

With the title of the episode, I was expecting to see everyone in their hero costumes, but I guess they're saving that for the full team moment. Better to have clothes that can take it then having to run around naked and risk getting arrested for indecent exposure :eyespin:.

That scene was actually anime-original; manga only showed him running out without seeing exactly what he asked (whether he wanted to be friends or asked her to be his girlfriend) and how she rejected him. That said, I'd have to say I can understand her position pretty well, particularly if she was able to read that message saying his porn had just finished downloading. Seriously, do not present your cell to a girl if it's working on something like that.

I don't believe she ever said that she was the only child, just the firstborn. She's shunned because she's a rare "one in a millennium" mutated child. And their race doesn't shun procreation for the purpose of procreation, they just dislike how humans go about it, and more to the point they want to stop humans doing it because if they manage to reduce the population and the motivation of those that are still alive, invasion will be much easier.

Sadly, don't get to see the other girls' dreams; something tells me Momo's involves her as an F cup, and it's certainly possible that some if not all of their dreams also involved Retto.

Went through yet again, and the only spot from when the bug reawakened and he caught the girl to the time she put her clothes back on that might be construed as his leg being slightly darker could just as easily be shadow and the large cloud of dust in surrounding his leg.

Now, why is this difference? It is not due to the time since Gleipnir was broadcast earlier in the day. I have already met people saying that the production committee can control what is and is not shown on TV about their products.
I've met a lot of people talking about different things in different forums, but honestly, about what I said before, it was just the feeling I had about Super HxEros and this exaggerated censorship, I saw more fanservise in the recent one piece episodes that are transmitted in the morning.

The feeling is that in the case of SuperHeros they (producers) want to force people to buy the BD or go to AT-X. I don't know if this is true, but it is the feeling I have. I wish I was wrong, though.

ps: The possibility of being something like the Tokyo MX regulations hardened between the time when Gleipnir and Heros were broadcast does not exist either.

It's not a Harem without a beach episode and girls in swimsuits! Although it takes place on a nudist beach, not that it really mattered beyond the fact that of course the girls ended up naked in the end :heh:.

Nice swimsuit choices, ladies! She might not have the body for it but Momoka looked good in that racy bikini, Sora has the school swimsuit down to pat, Kirara looked nice in a frilly green bikini, and Maihime had a nice classy and mature red bikini and sarong look to go along with her big sister role in the group. The Tokyo girls looked great too :D.

Kirara being really into the beach was pretty adorable :).

So we finally meet the last two members of the Tokyo branch. Yona seems like probably the most reasonable and "normal" member of the team, and with a nice body and glasses to go along with it, and we finally meet the team's token guy in Toma...who is a trap :twitch:.

The last two members of the Tokyo team were introduced but didn't make that much of an impression compared to Shiko and Moena. Still surprising to see another male Hxeros, thought Retto was the only one.

On a different note, looked in the manga and they really toned things down with that character. For starters, in the manga her little imp outfit has a thong back. There's one thing I doubt even ATX would've been willing to show.

So turns out that Kirara's hairpin was the equivalent to a proposal from Retto back when they were kids and basically Nishikata and Takagi from Takagi-san, but Kirara took it completely seriously before she buried her feelings for Retto after the Kiseichu incident. But now she declares she'll answer his proposal once the baddies are defeated, and she won't forgive him for looking at any other girls in the meantime :D.

I guess if you can't beat them in a physical fight, use their own laws against them :uhoh:.

I...was not expecting to see Retto's dick get transformed into a sentient weasel and leave him transforming into a girl. I wasn't expecting girl Retto to be a looker either (and who voiced him/her?) :twitch:.

Wow, Kirara really has come a long way. That was a pretty cool transformation sequence into her Xero suit, complete with plenty of fanservice shots (I'm betting we get the rest of the girls next week) :cool:.

In-spite of the Kiseichu's whole MO being taking away human sexuality, the Queen sure liked walking around naked in that human body. And then she opened the door to receive a package wearing nothing but a towel like she was in a porno :twitch:.

The queen was surprisingly more affectionate with Chacha than I was expecting. Of course, she also is utterly controlling and willing to lock her up and brainwash her, so I guess it doesn't balance things out quite so much :uhoh:.

The HxEros secret weapon...an orgy!? Somehow, I'm not surprised. Although it lead to probably the most explicit and hilarious scene in the entire show as the entire team crawls around in the dark trying to do it, which leads to Momoka going after Retto, Momoka imagining her gal pal, Sora getting her butt sniffed, and Kirara close to a climax. I'm honestly going to miss these horny kids :p.

No better way of introducing all the XERO Suits than bringing in the Opening and doing a proper team roll call :D.

I was kind of surprised when Kirara told her loli self to stop groping her own armpits, considering that the previous clip seemed to pretty clearly show her groping some other areas... never thought I'd see a loli doing that on TV.

And yeah, couldn't have a better finish for a story like this. But it makes me wonder what happens next in the manga (assuming this isn't an anime-original ending). Do they just keep killing off the remaining bugs? Is it like bees, where one of the workers can rise to become the new queen now that the previous queen is dead? Did the queen somehow survive? Are there other queens on or off the planet? I'm sure there's something set up to allow the story to continue, especially since it'd be such a waste to finally set up those suits and then use them just the one time, but I'm curious just where it'll go.

Just an average, cheap fanservice anime.

Like I said before, it is pretty much a low-budget Daidamira.
I enjoy the concept enough and it covers an okay range of fetishes, but the anime quality is considerably low. And when your show is pretty much all show and no story (of worth), when the show is bad, that doesn't really leave much.

And this isn't just badly drawn characters. We are getting character mix-ups! Now that isn't something you see every day in low-budget anime.

What's funny is that there was this one episode (the one where the eyepatch and dark-skinned girl appeared) where there was great animation (for a scene or two).
And then it really, really went downhill.
I think there was a bit of management mistake there...?

really fun, the final no doubt to have a big power up nothing better than a 'orgy" :heh::heh::heh:, then all the 3 girls go full beast mode and finally we saw all the outfits, to be fair in the manga they also barelly use then, even after they are made, as the uncle told they still need to improve because the outfits could not handle the "hero energy" that much.

about the manga they made a little change in the final battle.


she survived the explosion but become a "loli" then all the girls come and before they could delivery a finish blow a "new girl appear" a sort of "evil green power range" to save the queen in a "maid" outfit" and taking advantage which all of then are on they last breath beat all of then and run with the "loli queen", then a new arc start
they can still have a second season because the manga still going on.

i liked the Critic" specially about a sort of group which hate "ecchi" but somehow are themself perv disgused as "saving the humanity from the lustfull sex.

really fun show 8.5/10, the downside as others pointed was the animation a lot poor in many moments and the "censorship, also was even stronger than the censorship with peter gril.

Great last episode with plenty of fanservice, the XERO suits screentime was short and sweet and I felt the octopus getting destroyed by the triple beast mode was a bit more hype than the queen herself getting defeated. Must the effects of the opening song.

Anyway, good stuff. Now to wait for the BDs and for the special episode in November. There is another special but that one is set for March 2021 so, a long wait.

I don't know how many people here watched the Eng. dub but our 2 leads in Eng. are actually married. They were also Hiro and Ichigo in "Franxx". The fact that Hiro rejected Ichigo in "Franxx" but their Eng. dub VA are married is such funny irony.
