This week we saw the culmination of a four-year disinformation campaign orchestrated by the President. We have to acknowledge how the internet was misused to get here.
And we have to change it.

À key need is to REQUIRE that adverts, including political ones, be subject to independent review, with FREE right of registered objections to be sent to ALL recipients of the adverts concerned.

This could be the starting point we need to make the web more accountable for the information they present.

I'd like to see the expression re-stated in stronger guidance to legislation drafters, what regulatory changes?
I'd like to make "data collection" the subject, & the sale of personal information collected via commercial ad placements to political buyers UNLAWFUL REPURPOSING.

I would have taken the bottom two bold points and put them at the top, but...personal preference...otherwise, very proud. Doesn't need to be long if it's strong. This is strong.

Create your own browser then, so you can make it as easy to find disinformation as you want. Optimizing how accurate information is found in no way prevents you from digging for whatever you want anyways. They already decide how you get information, you do not.

I have no idea what's going on here but seriously, who still uses Firefox?

I used to really dig their browser. But with so many other options out there, I’m finding it less and less my “go to” browser. This crap is probably going to tip the scale for me.

Yes WE have to change it too, and we will. By deleting all Mozilla products from our phones and laptops.

Translation:
“We will now control the narrative. Big Tech and Big Government are in control.”
You quieted voices you didn’t like until violence occurred. Now you’re using the violence as justification to completely purge those voices.

The slow degradation of a neat non-profit.
'bout the only thing y'all have of value now is Rust.
The browser has been bad for awhile, abandoned it for Vivaldi. Egh.

Mozilla became bad after they kicked out their creator.

Slippery slope here folks.. How do allow someone to decide what's true for everyone and not see them get corrupted? There's no way. Best action is to let society recalibrate for bullshit detection.

Slippery slope? To say the least! Looks like they've fallen all the way over the edge.
