He didn't seem to have been attacked for this, yet. So I'm more willing to believe, that this was a mistake on his part, mainly considering that this is a unusual post coming from him

I think they accidentally retweeted it because literally almost after retweeting they un-retweeted it, so I’m staying impartial until there’s more proof that the author supports this because this situation shouldn’t be absolute proof

Japan’s mainstream media has been always dogshit on how they portray the real world news, especially Trump

Some of you, are more interested in finding a new reason to hate a fictional series, instead of wanting to discover if the author is a right-wing weirdo. The content of his work doesn't matter in this discussion. I mean would this be okay,if he had done a more progressive series?

Can you not tweet this without good context, for all I know they purposely retweeted it and deleted that because their ass was getting flamed idk but what I do know is that it looked like an accidental retweet and it was only one image so it easily could be a misunderstanding

Their media industry titans and a lot of younger ppl are way more liberal and left leaning/critical of the government. But it’s about as diverse as America in terms of its gross right wingers and trash boomers

Worrisome. Mangaka who pay too much attention to divisive news cycles often start producing lower quality artwork and introducing excessively "dark" story arcs. Maybe Uzaki-chan fans can raise money to fly him here and show him that America is not as bad as it looks on TV.
