富士山の高さは一般に3,776mと言われていますが、剣が峰の最高点の標高は平成3年の測量成果(国土地理院)によると3,776.24mです。(又、剣が峰近くの二等三角点の測定結果は3,775.63mです。) |

山体の大きさ、裾野の広さはどのくらいでしょう。そもそもどこからどこまでが富士山なのか、明確にすることはできませんが仮に右図のような単純な形を想定して標高0mから求めると、約1,400立方kmと見積もることができます。(東西・南北の距離は地図からの目測です。) |
