International Shipping Update
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, shipping international packages has been suspended to certain countries. However, there are now a growing number of countries that are allowing international shipping and we will begin to ship to those countries. We are still shipping to US customers but will begin shipping to our customers outside of North America. We have provided a list of countries whose service has been suspended until further notice. This list is available at https://www.canadapost.ca/cpc/en/our-company/news-and-media/service-alerts.page.
Please be advised that even though a country may be accepting international packages, there may be heavy restrictions and we cannot guarantee a timely delivery. On the aforementioned list you will notice that countries like Belarus, Ethiopia and Iceland have 2 stars (**) next to the name, this means that particular country has certain restrictions and delays may be inevitable.
I understand that many people just want to be updated as to the progress of this project and we will try to update you with information as we receive it. At this point in time there are 2 people working on this project and we are not receiving any financial compensation for our time. All the funds received from Kickstarter have gone to manufacturing the All controller. As such, we are still working full time at our regular jobs and assembling controllers during our time off. So, assembling controllers and keeping up to date with the updates, messages and threats of lawsuits is time consuming. Just writing this update has taken time away from assembling controllers. But remember, we are not going anywhere until every one of our backers gets what they paid for. We have a responsibility to you, and we will fulfill it, however long that takes.
To those threatening to take legal action. Yes, the road has been long and frustrating, but threatening to sue us is not helping anybody. However, you are well within your legal right to take legal action. If you genuinely want to take legal action, then have your lawyer contact us. Be advised that our lawyers have advised us to cease all communication with those backers that have threatened to sue. Which means we will not be able to communicate with you outside of legal counsel, this means we cannot send you a confirmation email and if we can’t confirm your shipping address, we can’t send you a controller. Is this really what you want? We understand your frustration and we want to continue an open dialogue that will allow us the opportunity to give you what you paid for. The decision is yours.
A final note, Rerez was contracted by Digital Depth, Inc. to help promote the All controller. He has not received any proceeds from the Kickstarter funding. He has nothing to do with Digital Depth, Inc. Please refrain from contacting him concerning the All controller. All comments/concerns should be directed to Digital Depth, Inc. at the following email: info@all-controller.com.
P.S. I know there have been many Kickstarter campaigns in the past that have taken advantage of their customers, but please know that we entered in to this project on good faith, and we intended on seeing that through to the end. No one’s trying to screw you over. This campaign is not a scam. Controllers have been delivered and will continue to get delivered. Period.
Thank you for your continued understanding and patience
Sincerely,
Digital Depth, Inc

Hi,
thanks for the updates, I was wondering if there is a way to check if my package has been shipped or not? Just mainly curious if it's been shipped?
We appreciate the explanation. All we ask for are regular updates.
I think this update is more than correct. We can only be patient and wait.
It would be nice to see how the assembly process is going. A weekly update saying how many have shipped even if it's only one per day would go a long way to easing my worries about it, especially if we had an expected timeline of when we should expect our reward. Im Canadian so the shipping issue doesnt seem to affect me as much as foreign backers but we still don't have any transparency on how the fulfillment progress is going.
And no matter what you say Shane is still attached to this thing, shame on you guys for dragging him into this if you didn’t think you were 100% going to succeed.... he still sucks but you guys are worse....
> All the funds received from Kickstarter have gone to manufacturing the All controller.
Can you please elaborate a bit on this? What does this mean for people who volunteered to wait for an Xbox layout model?
It’s funny, look at the amount they wanted and the amount of money they got and they still ran out of money.... wtf....
I think what people want the most, other than the product, is regular updates. Even if there's nothing to tell due to shutdowns and pandemic reasons, regular contact is still preferred over dead air.
Many people on here have backed a project that has gone silent and faded away. It's the case more often than not. Post updates regularly and you show the backers you are engaged and people will show understanding. Glad you updated - keep it up.
@Digital Depth -- Is there any method or order to which backers are shipped their All Controllers? That has been a consistent question that has never been answered (along with almost all others). If your backers maybe knew in which order the units were being shipped out, and could then maybe have a timeline as to when to expect a shipping email a lot of unrest would be subsided?
P.S. The condescending tone of the lecture to legal action seekers "we won't be able to communicate with you outside our legal teams...." is completely unnecessary as you guys brought that upon yourselves through your barely-there communication. And to claim that the 5 minutes it took to post this update took valuable time away from assembly is such B.S. Be better.
Honestly, if this was a scam, I'd be willing to take that L and move on, but my greatest concern is that because of certain events in my life I have had to move from the location I originally was when I backed the project. I am looking forward to the day when I am let known my controller is ready, not just so that I can get it, but so that it can be sent to the right place, though whoever lives in my old apartment probably would appreciate the gift.
Though I still believe that you should have always been more communicative—even if that only means a one-paragraph update every week or so—this update does come across as honest and genuine to me. I have been critical of your handling of this in the past and I will still hold some amount of scepticism, but you really do seem to want the best for your backers.
Some backers are going too far and a lot of people often want something to be angry about. Pursuing legal action is fruitless anyway. Think about it. It only works when the campaign is a proven scam. Slowly but surely more and more backers are receiving their controllers. You wouldn't have a case. Ride it out.
All things considered we're not doing too bad. A fair number of people have received their controllers. Many of you are acting like Digital Depth pulling a Smach Z. That started nearly four years ago and nobody's received that, plus they paid a lot more for it. Not to mention, the Smach Z is outdated tech. To most of us the ALL Controller will be fully usable.
I look forward to mine. Heck, I'd like to record a video of its features which is something I unfortunately haven't seen other backers doing.
Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to eventually getting my controller.
I'm an optimist, and understand that projects of this scale can easily get away from you. I appreciate your dedication to see it through. Those threatening legal action clearly don't understand the nature of Kickstarter, where the only real guarantee made is that the creators make a best-effort to keep their promises, or offer refunds of any remaining money if they can't. This is particularly true for small/independent businesses, but people are spoiled by many larger companies that use this platform as an early pre-order system.
That said, it doesn't take long to compose an update -- at least before the lawyers get involved. If you had put in the effort earlier to more regularly post even short updates (as simple as "This was a slow month; life got in the way. We only shipped x units"), it would have saved a lot of aggravation all around, and hopefully limited the calls for legal action from the impatient (I was never one of those, even when it looked like this was going to be a failed project).
Thank you for keeping all of the backers abreast. I was wondering what had happened. Because most of mass production happens in another country, we really don't know what's going on,with that country's government or inner workings, that said.
Thank you for letting us know. I will admit that some of the projects I have backed, here and on indiegogo, I have gotten burned. But I don't think it's the fault of kickstarter. Maybe it was mine for trusting people with my money and believing they would be honorable and see the project thru as you have thus far. I am anxious about getting the controller but can wait.
Many blessings to you and your team.
sincerely,
John
At his point, I can still wait ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just hope things are not too hard for you. Kickstarter was supposed to make your project (and life) easier, not harder
Mind you, what I said makes a ton of assumptions.
I have zero idea as to what their financial situation is, all I know it's that it is almost entirely their own fault that people are angry with them.
IMO it doesn't seem like a scam,, feels more like inexperience.
But it's unacceptable that they have yet to learn from their experiences and remain as quiet as they are, even when Shawn was still involved they gave like no information to him.
They need to start being more open
Thanks for taking the time to provide these updates. I am fine with waiting and am astounded at people threatening legal action. Those people clearly don't understand the concept of Kickstarter. I guess it doesn't surprise me since there certainly seem to be a whole lot of "karens" out there.
Take care and stay strong.
For me this felt less like a scam and more like you guys just weren't ready for something like this. However, as the others have said, I hope you learned from this.
I understand the frustration people are having, but I also understand the unexpected challenges of creating a startup. I don't envy being in your position. Trying to save face while people think you are ripping them off. I'm sure you've learned some painful lessons through this process. I'm still excited to receive the product.
I've backed my share of projects. And have seen some companies completely fall apart and not fulfill their promises and have seen some go bankrupt due to development and manufacturing costs continue to exceed budget forecasts.
Keep your chin up.
You guys are awesome.
Thank you for the update explaining a few things about this project. Im sure if given a chance alot of your community would lend a hand to see this to completion as we all want this controller to be a thing the time it has taken is understandably frustrating to your community but the lack of communication for such long times is what really got the community upset and angry with you guys. Any communication is better than no communication cuz then we start drawing our own conclusions that got us to this point. Hopefully you guys can start getting product out soon before people actually do try and come after you and kill production completely 😞.
@Sean - it's entirely their fault people are threatening (and rightfully so mind you) to sue them.
The lack of communication, the lack of any sort of verifiable proof that anyone had gotten anything, all points to our being a scam. Eg. They claim there prevented from shipping things out due to the virus, but they also claimed they would have started shipping things out long before the virus started.
And also, they're in Canada supposedly, they're is nothing preventing them from doing to Canadian, or American, backers, so why has there been no verifiable proof that anyone received one.
We've asked for more updates in the past and a bit of transparency, eg. If they came out and stated that they've been having funding issues and that's been why it's taken so long to ship them out (can't hire people to assemble them if they have no money, so in that case they could be doing it themselves, making it take ages) that would be a good update IMO.
But as it stands, it looks like their going the way if the coolest cooler
in the past hour, after one of my unhappy comments here, they contacted me privately FIRSTLY asking for address confirmation, and then asking to revise my comments because they sounded offended. it's a couple of times i had a private email back-and-forth.
i am really starting to think it should go public.
I appreciate the honesty, but this message should've come here months ago. In the end you took on a project you could not possibly fulfill and are now trying to make things better, after letting us sit here and rot for months with barely any information. Surely you understand why so many are angry? Surely you understand that at this point, short of a refund, no one will be happy? I would've never given you my money had I known you were this poorly organized and unable to fulfill the business plan you presented to us. I hope you have learned your less and quite frankly I don't look forward to the receipt of this controller, as two people assembling it by hand means it will be total garbage, as many have already pointed out. This isn't a 19th century tool and should not be assembled by hand, period. This was not a scam, I trust you didn't start it that way, but that's exactly what its turned into. Lesson learned from me as well, NEVER EVER back hardware on Kickstarter ever again.
thank you for being one of those backers that is analysing this with a cool head, this is exactly the point.
I agree.
It's sad to hear that some are threatening to sue. Crowdfunding usually involves a bumpy road. If you aren't prepared for that, don't contribute to crowdfunded projects. I've seen some scams but this clearly isn't one of them. The communication isn't perfect, but it's miles ahead of those scam campaigns.
Anyway, to echo the user Mint, do you have any updates to provide on the timeline for asymmetrical controllers? I expect it to take longer and that you don't have a specific date to provide, but any update would be welcome
I've backed nearly 50 Kickstarters and none even come close to the debacle this has become.
i backed far less projects than Ugo, but still my fair share, and this is the only one that was so poorly conducted.
Them what's stopping you from shipping to people in Canada?
How can we update the shipping address? The last survey was sent out 16 months ago.
welp, i'm dissapointed , but still waiting for the controller, i just have 1 thing to ask, what will happend to those who wanted an asymmetrical controller (like myself)?
If anyone doubts, my cousin received he's controller and he loves it! We have to wait, but it's coming https://ibb.co/RzNVC6V
