I tried booting Linux gparted-livecd-0.2.3.iso - https://archive.org/details/gparted_livecd_0_2_3_isoimg - from a USB flash drive. I used a program called "Universal Linux ISO USB writer" or something to write the ISO to the flash drive. GParted didn't boot at all I think. I wrote it to a CD but that didn't boot. I got the "No GParted LiveCD found!!!" error message. The "No GParted LiveCD found" error is mentioned at these web pages:

* The rest of the Google search results of exact text search "No GParted LiveCD found" sort of looked bad:

I wrote "Linux gparted-livecd-0.2.3.iso" to a CD (ISO burned to blank CD via ImgBurn). The CD (1) partly booted on an old desktop computer, up to the “No GParted LiveCD found” nonsense (2) didn't boot at all on a different and possibly older desktop computer which has Windows XP (3) booted successfully on an old laptop computer, which would be good, except I can't really plug my XFS hard drive into the laptop.
Maybe this version of Ubuntu will work. http://gparted-forum.surf4.info/viewtopic.php?id=17784 mentions that gparted-livecd-0.2.3 has an older version of xfsprogs, so it supports old XFS filesystems. However, GParted 0.2.3 didn’t work for me. Hopefully this Ubuntu version has an old version of gparted and/or xfsprogs ("XFS programs"?).
(I deleted GParted from the thumb drive via Linux command "shred /dev/sdc".)
