Hi all,
I recently got an email from Subaru prompting me to update my maps. Then I wondered if there would be a head unit update. I have a 2016 Crosstrek Limited with the Nav unit. I wondered if there was any sort of firmware update for the head unit, (hoped maybe for CarPlay but alas...) - it sounds like there may be an update but the Subarunet website that every post I see recommending to go to is no longer working. Do we know of an alternative site to obtain these updates? I looked on Subaru.com and I've had no luck. Thanks for the help.

my wife got the same email from subaru about her outback map update. The email provided a link to download the subi toolbox and that is where the map update was. Not on subarunet. And it did not update the HU other than the maps.

I got the email too, but someone here alerted us to it about two months ago and I updated then. Always grateful for the alerts and info I get here.

I already updated the maps with the toolbox, that's not the subject of my post. I'm asking about where I can find any updates if applicable for the head unit. There are links like the one in the OP posted all over the internet and the site no longer works.

There have been lots of threads about this. There is a new release of the firmware but it's only being installed by dealers at the moment. Hope this answers the question.

Thank you. The only threads I've seen online referenced downloading the firmware from Subarunet with expired links. I'll contact the dealer in that case, appreciate the answer.

My bad, i did not read in your OP that you have already done the Map update, so i took it that you were not able to "find" the map update. Regarding any HU updates, they either come OTA via wifi on your car, or thru the dealer. There is no place to download them from the web.

PLUS, with this update, they seem to only be doing it via the dealer. It may be in beta and not yet for general release...
