Kind of reminds me of how the Soviet Union and PRC worked together in supplying and building a land route to help the war effort against US aggression in Vietnam. Of course there were issues along the way but in the end Vietnam won reunification.

In case some of you didn’t already know this: during the late 70s, the Khmer Rouge were wiping out - that’s murdering - entire Cham and Vietnamese villages along and the Cambodian boarder and within Vietnam, that made it impossible for Vietnam to not respond and invade Kampuchea.
