I still don’t understand why Saddam needed to invade Iran even from Saddamist justifications.
A country around twice the size of us with a popular resistance even among the Iranian Arab population. There was no way we could win.

As a person w/ Iraqi heritage & relatives who still live there, it always feels like I'm voting for candidates that are destined to kill my family, regardless of political party affiliation. I've never voted for a Republican, but Dems are also in bed w/ the MIC.

In contrary to Turkey whose country is named after an ethnicity "Iraq" is not, and calling yourself Iraqi does not automatically imply you should be an Arab or be seen as an Arab. We should think beyond etnocentric ownership of territory.

No matter how hard some of you try. No matter how many times you call yourself an Iraqi you will ALWAYS be a Kurd in the eyes of the Arabs, and you will never fully belong. So why make it harder for a Kurdish soul to respect you?!
